"A story-driven, top-down rogue-like set in an alternate-history, Lovecraftian version of the French Revolution. Play solo or Co-op and influence the fate of four unique factions in their clash for power."

Looks kind of like Disco Elysium, but less shit because there's combat.

So... Can you play this as a jacobin wholesale slaughter simulator?
Not sure if you can in this game. Looks like you mostly throw purple smoke and chop up dudes with a samurai sword, but in the French Revolution!

There's this game for that, where it's nice and legal with Madame Guillotine. Everyone gets a fair trial and a fair hanging beheading:

French Revolution body/cosmic horror with zombies and shamans... we are really running out of new settings.
It's not even original, they did a terrible Netflix series about it recently (cancelled after a season). I know there's a tie in between movies, shows and video games leeching off each other as forms of entertainment, but why do one about a piece of work that stank?

Official release of Liberté moved to May

Hey revolutionists!

We have an announcement to share - don’t worry, it’s nothing scary.

Although our team’s working 24/7 on polishing the whole Paris/Bliss experience,
we clearly don’t have enough hours in a day to fit all of the ideas on time
. We’ve had a long discussion, and since there are things we’d love to finish before the official release of Liberté,
we decided to move the premiere date to the second half of May
. We have a few good reasons to do that:

Partial Voice Acting
You’ve been quite vocal (see what we did there?) about the need of voice acting, and we couldn’t agree more.
We’re now working with a bunch of talented actors
to breathe new life into your favorite Parisians, non-Parisians, aliens and everyone else. Our goal is to focus on the dialogues you’ll hear the most to create a fully immersive experience. P.S. If you want the Superstatic devs to be the Easter Egg actors taking on some secret roles, let us know in the comments!

Official Soundtrack

Speaking of immersion,
we have secretly found a fantastic composer to work with us on an official score for Liberté
. All factions will now have their own musical setting, and you’ll venture into Paris with an official score to pump you up in combat or set the right mood in character encounters.
Liberté main theme will be a blast!

Gameplay Polishes

Our team has been attending many festivals and shows, because
gaining feedback from as many sources as possible has always been our priority
. That’s a source of tips on how to make the gameplay shine, and we’re busy bees as a result. We've also been working with an awesome QA Team from our partners at Anshar Publishing that peeked at every corner of Paris, looked under every fungi in the Bliss and gave us a solid portion of support

That’s almost all. What’s next?

New Official Release Date

We simply owe you that one, don’t we? Stay tuned,
we’ll be back with details soon
.

Liberté After The Release

We'll share with you our plans for the future development of the game. New bosses? New cards? New talents? New playable characters? You’ll find out soon

As always, we’re super thankful for your comments, discussion on Discord, hours already spent with Liberté and all the content you guys created because our game inspired you.
That’s awesome
❤️

Au revoir!
SuperStatic Team
