An Aztec/African combination of myths would yield a vastly-different end-result than the African/Catholic one present in Voodoo and Candomble.
I second that. IF africans were traded to Aztecs, a cultural outcome would be something entirely new and interesting, but it would have nothing in common with voodoo.
Btw, since we are talking about an alternative history here and a creative license to kill common sense , it would be interesting to see what would happen if horses somehow made their way to Aztecs. Now that would truly change A LOT of things which could be reflected in a sequel :) .

Nah, sorry. An Aztec/African combination of myths would yield a vastly-different end-result than the African/Catholic one present in Voodoo and Candomble.

The combination might be different, but it could still be named Voodoo (since the name is African in origin - compare the African Vodun). Voodoo is not a vital part of the Lionheart story, and appears only in several items names, anyway (or at least i've been told so).

They don't need horses - they use giant lizards instead, as can be seen here:

My bad then, I do recall reading it now. Well, giant lizards sound cool and much better then some pitiful horses :D Go Aztecs!

Behind you.
Yeah, I think I'd have to go with Voodoo with an Incan, Mayan, or Aztec twist personally, for the reason Vault Dweller said.. You have an alternative earth, so feel free to kick around ideas that would be altered by the changes.
