Has anyone tried out Grimlord? It's an early access VR title, that purports to be a fully fledged dark fantasy RPG, this is the blurb on Steam....

Grimlord is not a battle arena, Grimlord is not limited to hack and slash. From the lowest of beginnings, fight your way out. Your fighting style is unrestricted, your crafting options are limitless, and your enemies are versatile and fierce. Your future and the future of this land lie in your hands.
This is a story-driven, classic action RPG that is native to VR interactions.
This is what’s been missing for so long.
This is Grimlord.

Despite the claim of not being a battle arena, any screenshots or footage I have seen (aside from a few brief NPC interactions) screams otherwise. Can anyone confirm if this is any good? Cheers.
It is not a battle arena, it's a dark souls clone complete with static npcs spouting cryptic dialogue, a hub level and bonfires. I liked it despite the stupid name.

Moss is alright but could have just been a flat game. There is nothing immersive in Moss that you'd expect from playing a VR game.

Still a competent title and better than run of the mill shovelware.

The guy from the video disagrees, he says the experience is vastly better with VR, gives it some magical extra quality or something.

Yeah looking at the vid I'm sure you probably get a strong sense of "presence" (sense of being present in that virtual space watching those characters' antics as if they were real). Looks cool.

If no one else saw, you control the mouse via the controllers like a standard joystick, but you also control some parts of the environment using the controls as motion controls, like pulling a lever, pulling an ancient box etc...

Kind of a metroidvania(light?) with some immersive interactions.
They even made the plants swerve when moving your hands over them.
Story-wise you're treated as a type of "guide" that this mouse found you, which I thought was kinda wholesome and fits well.

It is just as you describe it and you are indeed sort of a disembodied "guide" that the mouse is aware of your presence. You can interact with the environment too as you mentioned. I played a little bit of the first one and the presentation is slick. There is a much better sense of the physicality of the world just like any VR game. Even though you are observing from the 3rd person in an isometric style view it just works much better than it should.

They are creative & fun little action/adventure games.
