Little help or question about Lionheart Legacy of the crusader

Hey guys, some time ago i tried out this obscure rpg "lionheart: legacy of the crusader", after installing it, it seemed ok on gameplay, it has that typical real time arcanum style combat style

But my important question is that when i went to the port of the starting place "Barcelona" i think its called, theres this boy who said some bad guys kidnapped someone and headed to the sewers, i accepted the quest of saving the guy, but the moment the game loaded to the sewer entrance, it just crashed, the game closed it self or it had that black screen

I looked up pretty much everywhere on google, and noone seemed to have this problem, not even youtube, i later just gave up and deleted it, its a shame, but my gut is really telling me to find a way to fix this issue and keep playing the game, has anyone had this same problem where you enter the sewers and the game just crashed? Have you found a way to fix it?

Id appreciate the help and solution :)

Delete the game and forget you ever played it.
Is it really that bad? Shit story?
The last third of the game is basically a low-quality hack'n'slash, because it was released earlier than it should have been (or development was behind schedule, depending on how you look at it).

And the first, "full optional", part didn’t really impress me either.

About the bug:

Try moving your save file to a safe folder, uninstall and reinstall the game. Then put the save file back in its original folder.
Also, try not to force the game to run at modern resolutions. Try playing it in its original resolution, lower your screen one. See if that fixes it.

It's unfinished and becomes unbearable very fast. Don't waste your time.
Should have been wasting his time on the true Lionheart instead of the pretender:

What I have seen online is 800x600.

You have two options:
  1. Lower your screen resolution to 800x600 before launching Lionehart, or
  2. Try using the widescreen patch, since you weren't using it when the crashes occurred.

That's what I've found on Steam.

A Widescreen Patch that allows Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader to be played at previously unsupported resolutions, like those of widescreen monitors.

Download Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader Widescreen Patch Here:
http://www.moddb.com/mods/lionheart...heart-legacy-of-the-crusader-widescreen-patch

Instructions on installing this Patch:

1. Download The Moddb Widescreen mod
2. Open Lionheart game folder. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Lionheart Legacy of the Crusader
3. Here you will see a huge Data.dat file. Unzip it to /data folder. (7-zip program worked fine for me)
4. Delete Data.dat OR change its name (For example to dataold.dat)
5. Unzip the Lionheartwidescreenpatch.rar file into game folder.
6. Run "LionheartWidescreenPatch.exe" which is now inside the game folder.
7. If it does't install or you get a error message, try right clicking the exe "LionheartWidescreenPatch.exe" and chose Troubleshooting Compatibility. It should now work, I tested it on windows 8 and 10 and this method worked for me.
8. Click Done, Now enjoy the game in a resolution that looks great!

If you experience the game flashing or flickering try this fix:
It seems that killing explorer works on Windows 8 and 10 as well. You can write a batch script, that automatically kills explorer, runs the game and after you quit the game, it restarts explorer for you.

Just open your notepad and copy/paste the following:

@echo off
taskkill /f /IM explorer.exe
Lionheart.exe
Start explorer.exe

Make sure all folders are closed on desktop before you start the .bat file

Name it whatever you want, but remember that it has to have .bat extension. E.g. Lionheart.bat Remove the automatically added .txt, and change it to bat. Then put the file in the Lionheart Legacy of the Crusader main directory, make the shortcut on your desktop and start the game from it. Works great for me!!!
