    I was thinking the same thing, but it turns out that they only put steam drm on their titles like civ, enemy unknown, and bioshock infinite. I think that a good example is that their bioshock series at one time required a gfwl drm which I believe many people over looked or has forgotten. Also* wanted to add that they are owned by Take 2 and so it is only a matter of time that they incorporate social club garbage into 2k titles.

    Didn't read far enough this time—Rockstar Social Club is optional, or has been in the Rockstar games I've played recently (Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire), though you miss out on some inconsequential features.

    Have you tried Max Payne 3 on the pc? Might change your perception of their drm and why many people "dislikes" rockstar.

    Ubisoft confirmed that every game has to have u-play at launch. I am not aware of any policy that 2K games HAVE to have DRM, no exceptions.

    I suppose that's true, if you don't think Securom and GFWL are shitty.

    The best of the best, of course, being Bioshock I with its two activation limit, service centers located only in the US (requiring international customers to call long distance to reactivate), and the wrong phone number printed for calling. And, just to show that they're not a learning animal, Bioshock II has Securom and almost had activation limits too.

    2K Games = Steam.
    Rockstar = Rockstar Social Club.

    Duh.

    Has Take 2 confirmed it is mandatory for all games published by them?

    It is irrelevant if they had a policy or not of attaching terrible drm as they already have and that is good enough evidence for me. I find it amusing that people defend triple A publishers as if they are a defender of consumer rights when all of them only care about the bottom line.

    :retarded: You are aware that the switch to steam is recent right?

    Not that I don't find it ridicolous (and I am glad that ingame there is no such thing) there are shotgun silencers in the real world.

    I was unaware that one was not enough.:lol: Also the last one is purely for the lolz as nothing amuses me more than analysts trying to interpret this industry.

    (Zooms out all of the way)

    LOL nope. They had their peak plateau in 2004-2008 and have never really recovered since then. Anyone that has done even a little bit of homework would know that EA stocks are toxic. The guy that said that probably owns some stocks in EA. Giving EA any money is just delaying the video game ITZ.
