I'm sure there are some regulars old enough to remember the classic Lone Wolf gamebook series from Joe Dever. I played/read the hell out of several of them back in the day. Now, it's time to do it again on your DS. Project Aon's Frederic whatshisname has made a portable version of the first book, including inventory management and a random number generator. I blew through it today and it struck me what a fantastic idea this is for a portable console such as the DS - I'm sincerely hoping he decides to release further books.

If you need further convincing, here's screenshots and a video of it in action.

Awesome, I used to love those books as a kid. Which is probably even more pathetic than spending your time wearing a wizzards hat and rolling the dice with fellow nerds.

Anyways, I more or less always seemed to be tempted to cheat, as I recall, so hopefully that ds-port won't allow me to do that. Time to dust off that R4

Wow, that is totally awesome.
I had all of the series, and the four Greystar "World of Lone Wolf" ones as well.

Oh, memories...
