A) Tell them to ask for a higher ransom, as that amount is far less than what I am worth.
B) Try to convince them that I do not have this kind of money.
C) Try to convince them to work for me instead.
D) Settle on a ransom.

RPG Wokedex Strap Yourselves In Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath I helped put crap in Monomyth
D. I'm not too fond of C, as that might get us tangled in a rebellion against the crown

Who did a thing like A, was it Caesar?

I think so, I remember copying this from some historical figure.

A) "Your quarrel is with the King, and I don't plan to serve him much longer. Swear loyalty to me and you will help free Boglan one day.
B) "Here you are outlaws, but in Granwyl, you can be soldiers. You will have food, wages, and the respect of the people."
C) "You would no longer have to live in the mud, fighting for scraps of it."
C) "Because if you don't, my army will hunt you down."

(I think only the other captain accepts that)

A) Order my men to hunt down our captors and take the money back.
B) Proceed towards my meeting with Lady Sessanah.
C) Just return to Granwyl and never come back.

We can select multiple options.

A) "What herbs had Lady Nellasha been experimenting with?"
B) "Lady Nellasha told me it was Lady Sessanah who wants to rebel against the Crown."
C) "What will happen to Lady Nellasha if I were to return her to Bogsmouth?"
D) "If I were to comply, I would need assurance that she will not be harmed."
E) "How much are you willing to pay for her return?"
F) Make a decision.

A and F - Questions B, C and D are pointless, as they could easily lie. E is a bit too crass.

A. We've made progress with them. Be a shame to use it for a woman who hasn't contributed anything substantial. She's a bargaining chip at best and a liability at worst.

B - Though what I'd really like to do is to have our guards capture the man.

What's the risk?

Just because our guards searched him doesn't mean that he's not sent to kill, injure or abduct us.

In all likelihood, he's a member or an ally of the Sons of the Snake and will tell us some things (that may or may not be true) in the hope that it'll change our mind. I, personally, want to see every single one of those "good men in harsh conditions" fed to the nearest crocodiles and don't think that we should change our mind. It's possible that the man may reveal something useful, but I don't think it's worth taking the risk of letting him get so close to us.

Personally I feel that it's worth the risk. Our guards will be close anyway
