Look forward to things clearing up and you coming in with a new story buddy.

What was the setup for John Bull? We were surely going to run into him quite a few more times, yes?

Someone messed up and forgot the passcode… what was her mom trying to do that led to her getting wasted by that beast?
Escaping, hoping to get her daughter to safety. Past the Wall, the influence of her captors is extremely limited and the beast (among several others) were all they could manage to send to hunt her down.

What was she trying to say to us as her last words?
Something cliched about saving her daughter. Nothing witty.

Did Rain have a “real” name
Yes, but I would have made it up on the spot later if it came up.

as a descendant of these administrators, would she or any organs she spared to some cultist have had particularly keen capabilities within the Tower? Or just pointy ears and a lot of grief for her. :(
Yes, as shown by the part where she fucks up New Vienna. You could say that her soul is linked to the Tower and in times of extreme stress will cause her surroundings to reflect her mindscape. As an aside, there would have been an upheaval of floors in the aftermath of that incident, causing permanent geographical changes.

Definitely, and you would still have run into him in any of the timeskips chosen.
John Bull was an apprentice of Edward Kelley, former member of the Golden Dawn and current member of an informal group of villains that would have included Rasputin. All of them have pledged their soul to their respective demons, not entirely unsimilar to the way Wrinkly had a pact with Uridimmu. The goal of these demons were ultimately to spread their influence over the Earth, bringing the world back into the era of myth and legends, gods and demons. There is a tragic story involving John Bull's family that led to his corruption and downfall, but I hadn't gotten around to fleshing it out.

What an absolute privilege it's been to participate in well-thought-out campaigns like this one for so long. :salute:

So what you're really saying is that Wrinkly had every right to join Rasputin & Boys for a Pagan Retrocrusade, god damnit

As Uridimmu actually has an axe to grind against the particular demons of that faction it would have been tricky, but interesting.
