The worst flavor fail so far is that they made Bane black/ blue/ WHITE. WHITE. BANE. WTF. If you know ANYTHING about Bane, not even from Baldur's Gate, Bane is NOTHING white:/

Bane is lawful, and white is the color of laws and rules. Bane has the war domain, and white is about waging war in an orderly way. Also, Bane resurrected himself, which goes with white. I can see him being white.

I'll be damned, I just noticed they let you buy pack-bundles with gold instead of just gems now for New Capenna. So you can actually get boxtoppers with gold, but only on that set since they didn't retroactively let you buy multiple boosters with gold for the previous set because WotC's incompetent. Mildly handy since I was going to burn off a bit of gold on extra packs since I didn't draft all that heavily. Little curious how the BG shit's going to be handled since you wouldn't think cracking packs would be all that appealing an option for a historic brawl set.

Sooo now that Streets of new Capenna is mostly over, was it as shit as I sensed? I played my gems away on sealed, learned that the limited environment is extremely unfun and quit the game again.

no longer doing standard but I think it did improve it based on some random shit ive red.

limited I didnt like too much. It was slower set without many bombs. Winning strategies were mainly around growing threats over time which did put white + green/blue at advantage. It didnt feel like other colors had synergies that could rival it.

it's pretty thematic, creating a shit ton of treasure and slamming down huge dragons

even includes some vamps and zombies
