Sort of. It used Crescent Hawk assets to make a modern game. The gameplay was only "inspired' by Crescent Hawk. The dude making this had a massive meltdown on Twitter over some leftist political BS to do with Elon Musk and whined he was wasn't making any money from the game. So he tantrumed and fucked off for months before coming back, telling BT fans to fuck off because he's making an OC donut steel game with badly generated AI images now.

I liked Battlemercs way better than this. I have no interest in a bland Battletech rip off.

Just another sneak peek. This map was randomly produced by the new map generation code. The map generator can now integrated terrain, paths, rivers, roads, and cities! More work is still needed on placing spawn points, objectives, and other elements but as far as the maps themselves, they're starting to come together!

I'm not against AI generated art but that AI art is absolutely horrendous and speaks to the total lack of unified vision from this developer. I could and frankly have done a better job with AI Image generation myself.

I'm going to go against the grain and say it looks nice. Could use some more animation, since I think there's something like three frames of animation there for each mech. For a low-palette look it's fairly good, you don't need to spend as much time on them as you would for Amiga or VGA graphics. Considering what this is, I'm glad they're focusing on gameplay over graphics.

Though that said, it's strange that they're using AI art in their video thumbnails, I'm sure that disappointed some people.

Doesn't look bad. Well, I could do without the real time combat there, since I think that's probably a great way to lose some mechs or valuable parts before you realize it's happening. Salvage, galactic map, and so on all looks good to me. Also, the fact it's on itch.io is nice as well.

I actually had the Crescent Hawk LAM miniature back in the day. If you beat the first game, you were rewarded with a code and you could get an exclusive LAM miniature via mail order with that code. I think it just cost the shipping.

I can see a number of copyright lawsuits in that trailer. I can recognise at least the Atlas in there, a bulked up Phoenix Hawk, a Hunchback with the main gun reduced in size, a Dragon, maybe a widened Warhammer. I am not even sure if reusing the ground art assets like that would be kosher.

Don't get me wrong. If it is Crescent Hawk's Revenge - Mercenary Edition, I'd be pretty hyped up about it. Just saying that lawsuits are a thing.

Pal world is doing nothing wrong. It's not a 1/1 copy of pokemon. It's Rust/Arc adding pokemon like designs.
