You should search for the program that adds longer view distance. It´s amazing how good it looks, though it can make the game feel smaller.

Does it completely remove the fog? I tried a beta of one of those (ages ago) that removed all the fog 100%, you could see the whole island from a vantage point, but it looked "wrong" and killed the atmosphere totally.

I played Tribunal and Bloodmoon and liked them both.

That said, those atmospheric mods are nice.

Are they compatible? Could you care to link me? I hate Fileplanet and most Google searches just link me to that.

I'd be interested in using TLM and Darker Morrowind [ though there seem to be tons of retexture mods, but I think Dark + lightning go well. I already enabled dynamic lighting in the .ini]

Also, using the TLM and Darker Morrowind, won't it end up being way too dark? Will the art design suffer from the darker textures?
"Way too dark" is subjective, but I appreciated the usefulness torches gained after installing the mods. It makes the lighting much more realistic and makes the sixth house caverns pretty damn creepy. As far as compatibility, I know TLM and Darker Morrowind work together since I used both before. The window mods, I'm not so sure. I can't recall which I used, sorry.

(Topmost mod,any of the versions)

A must install for all the furries on the Codex.

Yes, I do have it installed, and no, I *did* notice the lack of female Khajiit model and hope the next version will include it as well.

I'm surprised that is still under development in 2007.

But these are highly detailed and have tails attached to the rest of the body instead of being plugged into their asses.

I know that some furries show disturbing levels of interest in equally disturbing little devices known as butt-plugs, but, most fortunately, I'm not among them.

Yo. I finally managed to acquire Morrowind GOTY. In German, sadly, but oh well. I heard there's some fine, fine mods that add landmasses to the east of Morrowind with some fine art design that's worthy of the original game.

I'd like to find out of what I heard is true!

So what I am looking for is: a mod that adds nice landscapes, mountains, caves to explore, or even a whole new island. All that matters is that it is visually appealing. No typos, no retarded added super-weapons or sex-me-up NPCs a plus.

The German version has its own mods made for it, you could check out Arktwent - I've never tried it (have the English version) but I hear it's an expansion pack with 30-hour MQ, there are some other large landmass/quest mods as well but you'd need to search them as I've forgotten the names. But they are out there.

I just rapidshared all the English .isos. Everything works fine now.

I am using the Tamriel Restoration thing, Sea of Destiny, TLM, some custom .ini tweaks to improve the lighting further and enable high-detail shadows and the Darker Morrowind textures. Very, very atmospheric. You can't see anything at all in a perfectly dark cave now, short of using a torch or magic; I like that. Also using Adventurers 3.0 TC because I prefer it to Wakim's game improvements and it actually makes the gameplay somewhat tolerable. Also a Darker Weather mod that comes with either TLM or Darker MW, as well as Slof's better bodies because fuck you, I'm a furry. I tried Better Bodies but I think they look even worse, so screw that.

Very nice experience; didn't regret spending 5 EUR on this game at all. It's still as enjoyable as I remember, walking through those breath-taking landscapes. If a game already fails at gameplay, then it ought to look wonderful. This game does, due to the great art direction. People should realize art direction is more important than technology when creating graphics.

Last time I played this I used way more mods, but really, I think I have rediscovered the joys of minimalism.

edit: can you help me find caius cossades plz

I never really noticed that little detail, actually. I liked it more for the textures. (Never spent much time looking at their asses)

But taking a quick look at them, yes, that apparently does seem to be the case. Weird :?

Apart from tails, this mod makes models much more detailed.

I also prefer original color schemes where, for example, male argonians had much more vivid markings than females - similarily to some reptiles, and I never liked Slof's mod with simple red VS green colors.

Slof's looks good, that one looks boring; now get this retarded argument out of my thread; as if anyone cares what beast mod exactly you jerk, excuse me, paw off to.

Can't use torrents; university monitors this strictly. I could try Rapidshare. 18 100 MB chunks with a 2 hour wait between each ahoy! Alas; there'll be a way though, don't worry. Maybe I can hex-edit translate all the German cell names to English.
Unless it's a DSL connection, try changing your MAC adress, it should reset your IP.

Go to Settings > Control Panel > Network Connections. Right-click the connection your system uses to access the internet, and select 'Properties'. Under the General tab, select 'Configure...'. Select the Advanced tab and look for 'Network Adress' in the Property list. Change the last 6 digits to some other random combination. Don't click Accept yet.

Now go to the modem and disconnect its power source for 10-20 seconds. Reconnect the modem. You have a 15-second window to click Accept. Once you do so, wait a while until the connection reconfigures itself, and your IP should have changed.

If the muffins put you off, just think of them as Daedra or something.

I always meant to try Jimbob's mods but never got around to finishing vanilla MW.

You know, one day, I really mean to go back over and play my mods to see what it was I made, but I fear I'll be utterly horrified and set out to delete all traces of them wherever they may be. And I can't be bothered with that.

I understand the appeal of body replacers, I understand the appeal of head replacers, though I have yet to find one 100% true to the original, however, I don't get why would anyone install the texture replacers - the only thing they seem to do is introducing dissonances in texturing.

Darker Morrowind, once you get used to it and in conjunction with the lighting mod, changes the gameplay experience dramatically. Well. The hiking experience. I promise one gets used to it quickly and will not want to go back.

I actually tried the lighting mod , but the interior lighting, inside houses etc...would be to bright....maybe i should edit the lighting values again....

although the mod stealth bonus is cool.

It would be absolutely awesome if it would be a mod for Morrowind that adds Oblivion-like graphics. But it converts Morrowind into Oblivion, which means a good game into a shitty one. There are some things in Oblivion that are too limited compared to Morrowind, and even though I prefer Oblivion's combat, it would reduce the overall fun to be had with the game.

There's nothing wrong with how Morrowind looks. The faces look perfectly fine in the original game - Better Heads, and Oblivion faces, are much less artistic.
Morrowind in Oblivion... meh.
And Jasede, you like Morrowind as a hiking simulator, I take it?
