Really, you have power over there? I had no idea. I even sent an e-mail to support@neogaf, but they seem to have ignored it.

It only bothers me because now the CRPG Book thread has all my posts with "banned". Not the best publicity to have, but then again all publicity is cool. :?
If you really want back in, contact Durante and ask him to forward something directly to a mod. He's pretty well known and liked. Normally a junior member being banned is an automatic perma but Sensuki managed to escape it and did the same thing but his ban wasn't a permanent one due to him being a good poster. So there is precedent.

At least no trace of Bethesda so far.

Why, for the sake of Lower Planes, from all available and unavailable graphics, the redaction chose THAT?! The picture has nothing to do with P:T! The hell is that anyway? Gay jester devil? Bambi Barbarian? Darth Slaughter the Shit Lord? FFS

You realize this is from Toni DiTerlizzi?

Banned at NeoGaf = badge of honor. Why care? It's console-fag central there.

NeoGAF doesn't seem so bad on the surface, but look deeper and they turn out to be one of the worst communities out there - say one bad word about their favorites (Naughty Dog, Nintendo, etc.) and there's a good chance you'll be banned. They also seem to think they're far funnier/wittier than they are which results in a lot of annoyingly smug posts.

Wut? NeoGAF are Sonybronies, they hate Nintendo.

Yeah, Durante could probably get you back in. They suck his cock hardcore over there as he's pretty much the only good thing to come out of that SJW ridden shit hole (thx for DSFix). I don't see why you'd want to though; you'll be banned over something eventually.

Isn't Xenoblade pretty much a japanese Dragon Age: Inquisition?
And I think Chrono Trigger is actually a good choice (if their list actually means "Essential JRPGs"), because it is a caricature of all JRPGs: it is simple, colorful, has a good soundtrack... sure, the mechanics are a little shallow, and the game is more of a Jack-of-All-Trades and Master of None, so it's hard to nitpick a single blatant flaw.
However, it feels like a stupid list. No Dragon Quest, no Deus Ex, no Tactics Ogre...

Going off of the 5 hours I put into Xenoblade... Its pretty much worse. You think Inquisition has a lot of sidequests? That game has absolutely nothing on Xenoblade. It isn't just a few quests you get around town, more like 3 kill quests in a row from the SAME PERSON.

Aka MMORPG design. Isn't that why Xenoblade was so praised? Being an open ended JRPG and all like FF 12. Also it looked really good for a Wii game, though the character designs look horrible.

I think Xenoblade is also acclaimed because it is one of the few Wii JRPGs. People really wouldn't be able to praise things like Arc Rise Fantasia or Tales of Graces.
And the fact that the world was so big probably helped, as JRPGs with that kind of scope was usually seen mostly in Korea, and were MMOs.

I would also assume that many of the people that loved Xenoblade (or DA:I) haven't spent much time with MMOs in the first place, and thus are less likely to be turned off by the MMOiness of them. It seems like a lot of the people that despise these games (myself included) used to be into WoW and shit, and would rather not have that experience translated into a single player setting.

I despise MMOs without playing a single one, you were just dumb when younger.

Took them a while to update the list so I stopped following, but I checked in again. And man, it was really more of the same. At least Xenogears and Mother 3 got mentioned. Now that they are finished, it just goes to show how shitty tastes are on Neogaf.

I'm beginning to think this was more appropriate than I realized at the time.

You really have to respect NG's staff for banning normal people to stop them from submerging in a cesspool that Neogaf is.

what thoughtcrime did you commit?
I committed account suicide by going a few pages politely correcting people when they said something incorrect in the gamergate thread. I knew I was done with GAF when I did it.

If you want to find my posts, the name I posted under was "Dead Early."

Neogaf was mentioned at GDC as the go-to example for a working community (Previously posted in the worst thread ever)
