I gave it a try, pretty ok'ish game. No MOM similarities whatsoever, other than both being fantasy TBS, but thankfully HOMMosexual influences are fairly minimal either. More of a Risk-styled game first and foremost, with a very oldschool, very early 90s feeling. Like that D&D Fantasy Empires game sans arcade combat.

Combat looks HOMMoxesual alright, but thankfully lacks stacking, so it feels more like good old Hammer of the Gods or something.

The text is plentiful but is abysmal cheap fantasy of the worst kind, I'd rather have none. Games like MOM didn't need walls of crappy text to be excellent.

Overall, a solid 4/5 if you're into *really* oldschool kind of fantasy TBS.

Edit: oh, the text got quite better in story mode after the first shard. It is mostly generic grinding quests that suck.
