Jaesun's reading comprehension is failing him.

"Putting a screen from Shadowrun Returns beneath the Wasteland 2 paragraph was a good palate cleanser (for Wasteland 2's ugly art)."
(an image)
"Now that's low-res, low-poly stylization done better (than Wasteland 2's ugly art)."

Screen looks ok - remind me Jagged Alliance 2, and that's good. All that bitching about colours is insane. Do you remember grass in W1? Was plenty of grass thrre (at least green colours on the ground, vide Highpool). And graphic is unimportant.

BTW both pictures from W2 I've seen has something to do with Desert Nomads for me.

I think the Codex might need a Bad Camera Trauma Sufferers Anonymous™ group.

My first experience with a bad camera happened in 1996, just after hooking up the N64 for the first time. Why Mario, why!

Graphics look fine, though. I'd rather see an in-game shot, though.

what I'm most excited about at the moment is P:E > SR:R > WL2. but when these games start showing gameplay footage with interface and writing, it may very well flip around.

I'm not really feeling the screen either way. S'pose I'll just wait to see things a bit further on in progress.

Seriously. Anyone complaining about the screenshot is a complete fucking moran.

There are far more other issues besides a screen shot to discuss about a cRPG.

Seriously. What sort of brain disease do you have to constantly complain when people discuss the topic of a news post? Or for 99% of your posts to be comments on other people's posts. Get a life already.

Suspicion confirmed: DU gave his password to kindcomrade.

He's right though.'
I guess we should just wait til game comes out then, not much to say til then. But after we play it there's even less point to DISCUSS! Especially if everything is gonna get merged into a retarded megathread of some kind and only get seen by all the people I don't want to DISCUSS! anything with. Yay, Wymlord and Vince made annoying 12 page responses to my merged topic.

People need to stop complaining about other people complaining. It's just getting out of hand, man.
Giving them all moderatin positions has provided a lot of comedy value but it's got to the point discussion is dead on this web site for anything but NON RPG stuff. Fucking moderating, how does it work.

Colour on the grass looks a bit off on my screen, and has the telltale signs of an artist getting a little too eager with the colour saturation. Otherwise pretty decent, and definitely a step up from the previous horrible look.

Wyrmlord was one of the few here that made me register and stop being a lurker for years now. He is one of those posters thanks to whom i sure as hell learned shitloads in regards to again, shitloads of topics. (and yes, i have seen your posts too, i do have me a frame of reference. i.e. Everquest being your top notch memorable experience ^^)
Respect where it is due

I never played everquest.

Not to pick on wyrmlord but I get sick of the same couple guys, and if you are truly looking to DISCUSS! a topic it's especially boring to discuss with people who have such conventional views and are totally immutable. Who's reading 60th page of Best Thread Ever? If you have something new to talk about that might touch a subject it's now totally pointless.

The guy standing on the container is the most interesting thing about the picture. Stuff like that might add some pretty interesting tactical opinions if you can do it with other objects or buildings too.

Overall the picture looks fine. Hopefully other parts of the game will have some wilder vegatation than that, though, since it looks like it's only been a couple of weeks since someone mowed that lawn.

Butthurt parade. I expected better of you, Codex (though not VD Jaesun. VD Jaesun never changes).

All that's been shown are screenshots, not gameplay trailers, so surprisingly enough that's what people are going to comment on. Shock horror.

Not that I was trying to, but this thread's proven that all you need to troll the Codex and send many of its denizens into a froth is very, very little. Drog's alts have gotten it all wrong!

DoubleBear inXile should, by the way, contact Prosper. I'm sure he can contribute excellent zombies radioactive creatures.

Weird, considering that I always assumed W2 would follow on the combat model of W1.

On multi-story buildings and elevation: http://wasteland.inxile-entertainment.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=3096

Will there be elevations on land like hills and trenches as well as 2nd, 3rd stories on buildings? Will being elevated give a sight/combat advantage?
you bet your sweet bippy there will be, on both accounts.

were making good use of upper floors of buildings, and the Unity terrain editor is in use to create some dynamic landscapes that allow for combat/position advantages.

Very early after being funded Fargo said was going to be combat inspired by Fallout Tactics and Jagged Alliance.
