Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire


I like this intro just for the reason that it's not really flashy, it takes its time to present the context of the world without being too extensive, after that the characters motivation and reason to be in the situation just in images (the manual or the game dialogue itself can cover all unnecessary exposition), finally just a little chuncks of art to show the player what should expect (Lost in the deeps of earth, death, traps, ugly monsters and you are been watched by your little "friend"), that's all I need. Not the best of all time, but I appreciate the effort.

Shadow of the Comet has a great intro too, really gets you into the mood. Fantastic music, but not a fan of the voice acting though.

My favorite intro ever seconded by Alone in the Dark I think, I love that Lovecraftian suspense music .
