They both suffer from the same ailments. Lore dumps and horrendous core systems. Gun to my head I'd pick Numenera, cause at least it has an original setting instead of a copy-pasted Forgotten Realms clone.

From the bottom. I mean, I don't hate PoE as much as some others, but even PoE at its shittiest interpretation is still so much better than Numanuma that it's not even funny. PoE, even to those that hate it the most, has to have some saving grace or aspect to it that isn't awful. Numanuma is just plain awful.
