The revamped Collector's Edition for NWN has been made official now. For the low, low, low price of $79.95, which is the cost of two better games, you can have:

The Neverwinter Nights Collector's Edition will feature all of the groundbreaking game play found in the original, including an extensive 100+ hour official campaign, which is also playable in multiplayer mode; the amazing Neverwinter Nights Toolset which lets players create their own adventures, and the Dungeon Master client that allows players to step into the shoes of the Dungeon Master to tell their own stories; and, most importantly, access to an absolutely thriving player community brimming with content and support.
* The Art of Neverwinter Nights - The first ever collection of Neverwinter Nights art features 120 pages of exclusive artwork straight from the creative geniuses at BioWare. The book comes loaded with concept art, never before seen sketches and images with a foreword by Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk.

* Official Neverwinter Nights Soundtrack - Featuring the soundtrack from Neverwinter Nights in its entirety as composed by Jeremy Soule. Seventy-two minutes of compelling, heart wrenching and primal music.

* Official Sword Coast Map/Mouse Pad - The exclusive Neverwinter Nights Collector's Edition mouse pad features a detailed overview of the Sword Coast - a large geographical area in the Forgotten Realms where the game itself takes place.

* Collector's Edition DVD Case - The entire three-CD game is presented in a new exclusive DVD collector's case.

* In addition, the Neverwinter Nights Collector's Edition will also contain an exclusive 34x22 poster of Lady Aribeth - Pallidin of Tyr, as well as a long-sleeve, Neverwinter Nights T-shirt.

Same crappy game, but you get a T-Shirt this time. YAY!

Isn't that the saddest little blurb? Of course, it's not nearly as sad as the sickening sales this thing is going to get.

Anybody want to bet the chick on the poster has a huge rack?

Considering the load screen in the game, where her armor is nothing more than a metal corset.. And the fact her breasts flop when she walks in the game, despite the armor..

Yeah, I think that's a safe bet.

But d00d, you get, like, ph4t l3wt. And boobies.

ph4t l3wt and b00bi3z should have been the name of the game in the first place. It explains the game much better than Neverwinter Nights.

And you could even make your own ph4t l3wt with the ub3r t3wls3t!
Oh, and then there's the Dungeon Master (t3h ch34t4r) mode.

$20 for some overpriced shit.

Who wants to guess a lot of the D&D fanboys are going to eat this one up, too?

We know they will.

I like how it costs 80 dollars. The pure and simple fact is that anyone who buys this is paying 50 dollars for a ton of rubbish he could probably get for 10-15.

I take it you've got your tshirt on now then Rayt? Is the mouse mat of the wipe clean variety or will you have to put it through the wash now?

Bioware kind of remind me of Pearl Jam. Once it dawned on them that everyone but their biggest fans thought they were utter shite, they put out about 100 live cds, with minimal packaging and effort just so their more shameless fans can cough up for a whole swag of their CDs, rather than wasting time trying to convince the rest of the world that they are really as good someone hyped them up to be a long time ago.

Bioware are doing similar things by reversing how the bargain bin works.

Fake Doctor guy #1: Hey, do you think instead of lowering the price to rope more people into buying our faecal matter, let's jack up the price! People will think our game is like a wine that gets better with age, and start stocking their cellars with them. Oh and pass the crackpipe, it's my turn.

Fake Doctor guy #2: Check it out, I'm doing a line off George Lucas' balls.
