Jesus I sound like Drakron.

You think I like sounding like I do?

I have to unwind or it just eats me, thats why I burst the way I do because its either that or having that inside me and I already filled with similar crap as it is.

Yes, its a long and stupid retarded grind that exists solely for a reason, so they can have inflated population numbers ... Metrics .... to show to PWE about how "healthy" their game is. The packs requiring the set is just a way to force people that would rather just pay and be over with to grind for the set, of course how are you going to sell a 3pack that is by design neutered since that was the way they had to force grind for metrics is another question, one I doubt they know the answer.

And then next comes CE that I am fine since its Dilithium and FMs for the next holding, at least that is useful.

Also the Hirogen lockbox ships are ugly as shit.

They are canon ships, ugly maybe but thats how they looked in Voyager.

Some people are pissed because they wanted the Hirogen as a Romulan option despite not making much sense as the Romulan Republic is, personally I dont care ... I still in the shop for a ship for my Ferasan but not with that bridge that yes, its canon-ish too, but a Ferasan is not a Predator.

Wow, meta. Drakron's now whining about being Drakron.

Don't worry, Drakron. We, or at least I, understand that you're just being Drakron, even when I make fun of you for it.

Yeah, you can't blame Craptic for them looking that way.

Ferasan is not a Predator.
Give it to a Nausicaan. Nausicaans look pretty Predator-like.

so not only the anniversary minigame is beyond retarded, not only there are new bugs popping everywhere, the same anniversary episode is ridden with unskippable cutscenes and graphics issues which makes impossible completing it.
fuck you craptic.

It's not a network failure, they're lying again to deflect attention. A quick ping test indicates the network has never been better: All servers respond to pings, actually faster than usual, perhaps because there is no traffic in the way. However, all the daemon ports are down. As any sysadmin can tell you, this means the server itself is fine, and the issue is a software one.

Translation: They have no QA process and now their shit crashes constantly. This is going to KEEP happening until they actually patch it, BECAUSE THERE IS NO NETWORK ISSUE, THAT IS A LIE.

Well I am installing a 202 Mb patch so yes, its a software issue.

I dont think they even know how their engine works, the "Materials reloaded" message was something that was in NwN and then come to STO with LoR, they are likely passing on the code around.

Yeah...the apparent complete absence of any QA is pretty appalling. What are they even testing on Tribble anyway? Are 2-3 minimum days of serious functional and operational issues after every big update the norm for MMOs? I don't play any others.

As far as I understand, WoW is pretty much the only technical issue-free MMO... Due to the fact Blizz has more money than they can figure out what to do with.

maybe, but it took them two years to aknowledge the druid having double the intended hp (or doing double the intended damage, don't remember, don't care).
wow isn't any better, it's just better defended.

I see. Well then, that means we can add MMO QA teams as some cryptozoologists can look for, since they're probably composed of Bigfoots.

No, thats because Blizzard actually uses their test servers but those are locked from normal use, stuff you see in the game been on those test severs for months.

Cryptic tries to imitate Blizzard but they have a serious self-ego problem, that is they dont listen to feedback unless its a pat of their back and they if bother to respond it always be a "this is how it is, no discussion", plus anything that hits Tribble is pretty much on final stage, will not be changed so even if it gives you cancer it will give you cancer because they refuse to change things no matter how much people complain about it.

Their entire testing process is internal and they arent open to even debate, its "my way or the highway" thats why I really would like Stahl to bring over Riviera since I doubt any successor would be as small minded as he is.

So Norfleet, how's the Solanae set supposed to measure up to the Borg? It doesn't seem like one has that much use for it, if they already have the Borg set.

Happy 4th birthday, STO!!

Mmm, looks like there's been a LOT of changes, I might want to get back to see the decline/incline. Romulans, Chimera cruiser-escorts, warp cores, a FUCKING DYSON SPHERE? It's gonna feel like I'm starting all over again, probably. As soon as this eleventy million GB update is done, that is.

I don't understand it. The FE offers three Solanae components but it looks like there should be a fourth to unlock the full set of special abilities. (?) Yeah, where's Norfleet?

Guess what the biggest change is?

Our fleet base is finished. Finito. 100% complete. All the goodies are available. Only the useless Tier 5 main upgrade left.

Federation only or Klink as well? I was never a big fan of the expanded fleet stuff to be honest, in fact it's one of the reasons I stopped playing. The game got boring when they brought in starbases and the ridonculous resource and doff requirements, which were much more reasonable during the testing weekend. One can only No Win Scenario or blow up 5000000 Borg Spheres or mine 5 hours for 100 Dilithium so many times... But now there seems to be some new story content which should be interesting.

The USS Cydonia will be brought out of space-mothball and once again face the scum of the universe under leadership of Captain Augustine and his glorious beard!

Huzzah!

Love the new login screen.

Still have to hack the config files to get it to run on the right monitor though, that hasn't changed.

Well I just logged in and yeah, it's a totally different game... Even the interface has changed. And look, just as I thought, 5 new currencies (reputation marks) . Ah well, time to start getting used to it all again...

I don't remember this story: When did you guys beat No Win? I'm still trying to organize a run of it, since the rest of you people are miserable slackers with the attention spans of proverbial goldfish. It's hard enough to just PLAY it, let alone win.

Any interest in playing Artemis: Bridge Simulator? It seems like a pretty hardcore sim where you need a team of 6 real people, each person manning a specific station on the bridge of a ship.
