I don't think Nival qualifies as a big developer unless they have a big license and publisher for something like Heroes of Might & Magic. Either way, I think Silent Storm did pretty well

I think you're right. Besides, if you want to class Nival anywhere, it's "AAA Russian" and, indeed, Silent Storm was a big hit in Russia and Eastern Europe. Big big hit. It flopped in the US, though.

My understanding of an RPG is that it presents a world to the player, in which he can take on a certain role that he can act out accordingly. What’s important is that any restrictions and options are grounded in the logic of the game world and are not left unexplained.
That's probably the best thing I've ever heard him say. And by heard I mean read. A pity I don't trust him even as far as I could throw him.

And to answer the question about the travel system: yes, we will have this great element in Drakensang.
Meaning what? There'll be a travel system, or there'll be a travel system very much like in RoA? Like how? This could just as easily mean it'll be fast travel like in Oblivion.

After reading several interviews my main impression is that the Drakensang developers like to waffle and their statements tend to be vague where they are not outright disappointing. It sounds too much like PR bullshit, catchphrases and soothing the rabid RPG fanboys.
I haven't given up on the game completely yet, but I expect nothing.

I daresay that comparing me to the ESF crowd is an insult of my intelligence and proves that you haven't read the old thread.

I don't question your intellect per se; however, I do question your ala Oblivious fanatical devotion to the game which hasn't shown whole lot other than few interviews from the developers.
