Do you take news reports as an accurate portrayal of everyday life?
The keyword here is "seems". If after 2 hours of playing we're fighting trolls again and again it doesn't bode too well. We see 2 playthroughs made by 2 different people with
exactly the same encounters. Not only the game seems linear, opponents are also not very varied. There are kobolds, trolls (mainly trolls), human bandits, spiders and hounds/wolves. So 5 different opponents after over 2 hours of playing, I would think that if the game really had over 100 monster types we would have seen more variety even after 2 hours. The fact remains that even if after 3 hours we would get different opponents to fight, fighting the same ones for 2 hours can get boring, especially with a RTwP combat system where there's not much room for tactics.
