While Nyrissa is not always so ugly like that in all pics, I agree that a better job could have been done with her.

I think part of the problem may be that she is meant to appeal romantically to everyone regardless of sex and orientation. Which means that she has no tricks that appeal directly to masculinity, eg.

Even if I like Nyrissa's story, she leaves a lot to be desired.

You just finished one of my favorite parts of the game, and you are entering my other favorite part of the game, which is also the part that everyone else here hates. Gonna be interesting to hear from you what you thought of Ch 6.

Well, with mods we can make Nyrissa look however we want...I think? I haven't actually tried using the Visual Adjustments mod to modify a non-companion NPC, maybe it can't do it

Nyrissa has a long-standing plot to transfer that portion of the Material Plane that is coterminous with her fey realm of Thousandbreaths into the First World. She hopes that such a coup would appease the Eldest.

Greater Invisibility should be enough in most cases. AT also has Invisible Thief and Impromptu Sneak Attack, second one guaranteed sneak.

This mod tries to make beatuful characters actually beautiful. It is modular so you only pick portraits you want to use.

Eh, beautiful women are much more interesting than non-beautiful ones. But the point here is that the romance with Nyrissa is an important plot ingredient. So if she is not appealing, something is wrong. And if she looks like a trap, even worse.

Valerie supposed to have divinely gifted beauty by goddess of beauty herself. I don't think asking for a proper portrait is too much.

Well, Valerie is described as beautiful by men - directly or indirectly. In game she is locked in the heterosexual romance, so it's OK for her beauty to be "traditional" and aimed at heterosexual men.
On the other hand, Nyrissa can be romanced by any player, which includes gay men and straight women. Also, she is a supernatural being. So her beauty is clearly different and most likely cannot be expressed in a static picture.

You just finished one of my favorite parts of the game

I don't really have strong preferences when I compare the different chapters of the game (I guess I like chapter 1 a bit less, but it's mostly because combat is less interesting at such low level, and somewhat frustrating on Hard difficulty).

Chapter 5 is fine. The only thing I found a bit weird is that there were several months during which I didn't have much to do but develop my kingdom (as opposed to the earlier chapters, in which there always seemed to be a crisis demanding your personal attention).

The tournament is a reasonably entertaining way of introducing your new enemy. (Though I was kind of pissed when Linzi later claimed that I hadn't done very well in the tournament. Okay, so I failed two Diplomacy checks against Irovetti, but my team still won all three events !)

The part in Pitax where you gather allies is nice, but too short. I think it could have been more developed (as I believe it is in the original Pathfinder adventure).

Irovetti's palace is very nice, and has plenty of entertaining and challenging fights.

My PC is Chaotic Neutral, and Chapter 5 had several CN choices that were pretty fun.

The paladins stalking Valerie want to put her on trial. Hey Val ! how about telling them to fuck off, and then bathing the place in their blood when they decide to attack us ?

The owner of Amiri's sword tells us that she needs to kill a chieftain with it in order to seal his brother who's super-evil and and super-powerful and TL;DR, dude, we'll just kill you and deal with your brother when he turns up.

Not to mention forcing Stefano to turn against Irovetti by pretending that we'd promised to name him governor of Pitax in exchange for his support... and then really making him governor, just for the lulz.

The Wicked Chanter is ridiculously OP. I mean it's possible to abuse weak enemy AI and make her waste her DC40 (why not DC100?) Overwhelming Presence on summoned undead but then her Song of Discord will get you anyway...

[Edit] Unbreakable Heart is bugged and doesn't completely suppress SoD as it should. Instead the affliction becomes random - suppressed for several turns, then active again, then suppressed again and so on. The fight isn't really hard to beat with a level 13 party once you know what to expect and have Jaethal with you. I'd still prefer almost any other mechanic (even if it were more challenging) over irresistible mind-affecting crap. The optional fight against a ghost mage and three ghost rogues on the previous floor is harder but I like it more.
