Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Can I ask how much of a role MCA has in the writing for Kingmaker? My work of late prevents me from having any real time to play RPGs anymore but that should change soon and it sounds like Kingmaker is the RPG I've been waiting for since the whole Kickstarter fever began.

I'm more curious because I've missed a proper Chris Avellone game in a long while and I'm wondering if this is more MCA in a proper leading role or if this is more of a guest writer/writing a few companions or the occasional sidequest e.g. WL2 or POE

I'm only as far as getting the stronghold, but the writing so far is great. There's some periphery SJW stuff that's easily ignored. I wouldn't have known it was written in Russia unless someone had told me. More important than anything else; the tone is spot on. Somewhere between BG1 and Arcanum - that relaxed, occasionally/outright funny kind of tone that isn't tryhard or taking itself too seriously.

So as far as I'm concerned - they nailed it.

Stocks for evil characters give +1 to all problems in that region and you can make them even in villages. Evil run rocks :D

I started with a CN char, and now I am CE. Still, realm is stuck at CN... why? Makes no sense :(
Yea, it does not change. I started as CG and now I am NG and realm is still CG and I got access to CG buildings.
I guess this is another thing they never got around to implementing.

Also, If I understood it correctly, every last companion quest gives them a sort of gift, Jubilost became immortal on the First World, Harrim got an Helmet, Amiri a shitty sword, Ekundayo gets a bow... Did I miss something or Valerie last quest gave absolutely nothing? Wtf?
In my game, Valerie got
trait "valorous" (+2 Str, Cha) and healed her scar after the Temple of Shelyn quest
, Jubilost
refused immortality and got instead a +10 increase on all lore checks
, Harrim
got nothing so far, I didn't destroy the dwarf fortress, made the ghost guy do gollems for me, don't know if its his final quest or not
, Ekun
also nothing, I killed Ntavi, we buried his family (past), don't know if there anything else for him
, Nok-Nok
I went all the way for him, killed the giant, allowed goblins in my city, built a shrine to lamashtu, pronounced him a hero and allowed to build a statue and... still nothing. More than that, he seems to have lost a size bonus to AC, no idea why, never touched him via respec

Pro-Tip Corporation.
guest writer/writing a few companions
That's all.
He also helped tighten up narrative things and do translation work so that meaning/feeling was preserved, something that is sometimes hard between languages, since emphasis/intonations, idiomatic expressions, references and such are different from language to language and between major cultural groups.
I belive whole last chapter made by Chris ( Gog and Steam advertise as it so)

I got the same as you except for Harrim. I believe that is his final quest, the
paladins came and gifted him his helmet about a month after clearing the fortress.
I don't think Ekun or Nok-Nok need anything from their quests, they're already crazy strong.

I don't think so, you might be thinking of the PnP module that Avellone wrote which is part of the bundle for some editions of the game.

Woah

Regardim Harrim, how did you make the ghost make golems for you? Also, does it have any effect?

Well,
we went in, smashed those gollems, the ancient ghost blamed the dwarf pally for abandoning the fortress and basically I believe scared him to death (he drops mallet of woe btw, same as hargulka), and then you have a choice: Either tell Harrim that he was right, dwarves were assholes and let the ghost dude remain (he promises he'll produce gollems for you, got nothing so far on this front) or let him destroy the whole tower. I picked the former option, then Harrim tells me to talk to him in capital, which I promptly do and lo and behold, he's not so depressed anymore, he's like "yo all death means a new beginning so groetus aint half bad and I shouldn't be sad" and gets to act all nonchalantly like Pathfinder's version of Dimitar Berbatov. A month has passed already, no helm :D To hell with it, I thought it was a stat increase and Harrim cannt run anymore anyway

Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Codex Year of the Donut I'm very into cock and ball torture
The helmet is amazing, I don't remember offhand but it's +6 WIS/CON and 10/- DR or something of that magnitude.

It's +6 WIS/CHA not con. And gives some DR against bludgeoning. It's pretty cool. And everyone can use it AFAIK.

You sure it's not CON? I thought it was. Hang on, let me load the game to check.

*10 minutes later, Jasede is nowhere to be seen... he's still loading.*

If you let Jaethaifu reincarnate in her daughter... does it happen in the playthrough? Is it worth it?

Is there an overview of the artefact fragments and where to find them? I don't think I've managed to complete ONE of those in 200 hours of play time.

...how old is this daughter? Asking for a friend.

Don't worry bro, she looks like she's 13 but she's an elf and thus really 300 years old. Trust me.

I managed to make 3 of them and NEVER used them. They are pretty shit.
Not really. They're heavily specialized, yes, but some of them are quite powerful too. Ring of reckless courage is a must for any enchanter, just as the cloak of sold souls is for a necromant. Trailblazer helm is a meh, gauntlets (bugged) might be handy against fey, the first necklace is a lifesaver when you get it for your ranged rogue, the smilodon armor I imagine would be handy for a wildform specialized druid and the star commander's gloves is just an OP joke item, that really breaks immersion and shouldn't be there. The ring and that cloak though? Superb things.

Never had the gloves. The cloak is cursed.Regarding the ring of reckless courage... it has too many negative effects tbqh. At best it can be situational when you have a fight you can't win and you need that +2 DC on mind affecting things. So far I never had to use it. Same story for the cloak.

That's ridiculous for d20. If that's their sense of balancing stuff I'm really concerned...

In min-maxing, lies the truth, my child. You don't need much con as a necromancer(In fact, two casters specializing in necromancy and enchantment have a wonderful sinergy), and if you're wizard and a -2 on will saves makes you vulnerable, then you aren't much of a wizard in the first place.
