Cryomancer
Arcane
Nigger, we are talking about crusade.
I realized it and edited. In crusade, a might caster casting ice storm/fireball and a army of skeleton sharpshooters is extremely deadly.

How many people here played as a dhampir cruoromancer?
He talked a lot about magical items in this video at 4:32 but where I can find this items? Summoning a shadow demon each time that I cast a tier 6+ spell sounds so amazing. No info on wiki https://pathfinderwrathoftherighteous.wiki.fextralife.com/Belt+of+Demonic+Shadow
Stack of hellknights. Then even if you lose your marksmen from 1-shot you can kill enemy army with spells and resurrect everyone in the infirmary. And that's why you shouldn't care about what Desiderius saying. Path to victory is one caster general with mass archers army.I honestly prefer the crusader system over the kingdom management one, although that's no high praise given that both are superfluous and only detract from the RPG experience.Change of meds? Anyhow core gameplay is pretty much the same as in pfk what changed is uh.... This crusader thingy tackled on top of it Wich is... uh... I would rather avoid, I kinda liked pfk kingdom management though it was okayish loop.
I really wish that devs would stop tackling such gimmicky mechanics just for the sake of it, you either go full hybrid for better or worse (e.g. the Spellforce series as a mix between RTS and RPG) or you stick to RPG mechanics.
It’s not in fact gimmicky. I’ve got my three armies for the three different generals just like HoMM. There’s a lot here.
You’re just seeing suck because you expected to. It’s solid.
Archers often get one-shot by enemies, something tanky is better.
Is there a list somewhere of what general abilities work and don't work? It feels a bit like playing russian roulette when picking skills on levelup.
If you want to be totally safe stick with stuff from P:K. But I haven't run into anything gamebreaking on my MC, Companions, or the HoMM stuff. It's in better shape than I thought it would be. Mostly missing stuff more than bugged I think.
Note that I said "general abilities" ie the stuff you put on your generals in HoMM mode. So far bane and boneshatter don't work (the targeting will get wonky and won't let you target anything but empty tiles, which obviously does nothing), siphon time only works 50% (all your units get hasted, but the enemy does not get slowed).everything thats new and not angel/demon is buggedIs there a list somewhere of what general abilities work and don't work? Has any of our russians checked if there's any difference between russian and english writing? I wonder if the writing is as cringy in russian as it is in english.
This is stupid, and I will not do it. I believe the game was mostly written in English and then translated to Russian, so expecting some silver bullet just because you have different script is naive.Has any of our russians checked if there's any difference between russian and english writing? Again: if you want a Russian game play a Russian game. What residential Turk recommended: Black Book, Encased, this stuff. Owlcat Games are Russian in a sense that they expect players to have numeracy skills, extract information from written texts and apply it to the game; on more superficial level - not that much.
Ok, I'm ready to retract my statement: the encounter with the plagued smilodons felt unfair only because I assumed that, as undead, they would be immune to Snowball. However, apparently, undead can be affected by spells that require a Fortitude saving throw... weird, but ok.Are we even playing the same game? What is the problem with power gaming? Is there any reason to play this thing if it isnt to power game the shit out of it? The first motherfucker that comes talking of "roleplaying" on a game that has a furry in it and half the cast talk like californian girls, I will throw a virtual shoe on his head.
There ought to be a middle ground between faggot walking sim roleplaying and hardcore autismo minmaxing. I don't like having dump stats or 1-class-dips into stuff that thematically doesn't make sense, but that is exactly the way you need to play this on Core it seems.
Why would you need dump stats and 1-class-dips? I'm playing on Core without any of that and I'm doing fine. The only problematic encounter so far has been the one with the AIDS-ridden smilodons.

Hmm I just tried to respec Regill and the retrainer only let me change his last level.. I want to change his feats and stats from lvl 1...
"mass" was about having all of them in one army instead of desiderius "3 generals" shit.Tbh sounds like a normal army if you have HK, not mass archers.
So it's "build porn" game because you watch how someone else do it, like in regular porn, instead of doing something yourself?
I am only half was into Act 2 but except for few exceptions that I clicked through fast I have not seen that much cringe writing. But I guess it comes down to expectations. I neither expect or care that writing is not close to PST level or realistic. It just needs to fit D&D level high fantasy. It needs to provide fair cause to continue adventuring, murdering enemies, taking their loot and leveling up.
It provides all that while also having better writing than POE1 (read: less text). There is a lot of different and crazy characters that make you chuckle while I can easily skip through dialogue dealing with SJW stuff. And even that is still better than what Beamdog added to BG.
I would even say that I like starting companions more than in PKM as they are less irritating.
I believe the game was mostly written in English and then translated to Russian,
I disagree. Played the beta and saw a lot of stuff written in Cyrillic alphabet. Mainly in ch 4 my least played part in the beta.
Anyway, killed the playful darkness and sadly din't got the archivement. Anyone else with the same problem? I will post a video soon as a proof.
