If droves of people are leaving the Codex, where are they even going?

Of course people are leaving the site in droves. They were here to talk about Trump, niggers, kikes, and the Illuminati! but they soon realized they can go make shitty Discords that they can lord over and play boss since that is all they want in the first place - to pump the inflatable balloon penis that is their ego.

Wait the filter was removed. Now you got me breaking the rules.

What he means is that people are making strong political messages they apparently don't understand. Like people lobbying war who haven't even been through 1 day of basic training. In the past people were able to stfu if they were out of their depth because they had learned so in school. But now the internet takes over from school. If this trend goes on we will have to send people back to crèche when they are around 35.

The T-shirt Vavra was touched with said “JUDE SLAVIE” and the story behind that is rather funny.

There are two big football teams (soccer for burgers) in Prague that hate each other called Sparta and Slavie. Apparently, in 1922, Slavie was supposed to play against West Ham United. However, Slavia insured themselves against bad weather - they allegedly had some connections with Czech meteorological institute (coincidentally, it is also said that several managers of the club were God's chosen people).

Surely enough, there was rain on that day, so they moved the match to the next day, got the insurance money and the entry fees they’d get anyway, therefore doubling their profits.

The next match was against Sparta and all the Sparta fans yelled “Jude Slavie!” to point out their money making schemes.

So now you know. The motto that Vavra couldn't take and started violently shaking in the doctor's office.

Haha, yeah, I don't know why Facebook translated it like that. It should mean something like "Should I start bothering him?".

In fairness to Vavra he does say in the post that people should have the right to say the things he dislikes/hates.

He's not being a dumb advocate of hate speech laws or the like.

What's his stance on fart rape laws?

I'm more interested in his stance on firing longbows from rooftops into populated areas. Judging by KCD it's very difficult to determine who the shooter is.

Not sure what to think of him. He frequently contradicts himself, sometimes even in the same post. Looks like clown to me.

Yesterday, he posted about an Israeli ambassador being escorted from university, while students and activists were yelling "Shame on you!" with Vavra's comment "The world we live in.". He omitted that the yelling started after her dismissive comments about Palestine, which I can kinda understand why.

He can personally believe whatever he wants as long as he remains an active advocate for free speech and expression.

The guy was one of the few industry people who actually stood up to the SJW crazies during GamerGate. He also released a AA game without a trace of wokeness in 2018.

As far as I'm concerned, he has put his money where his mouth is rather than just talking the talk.

I was pointing out he's omitting and twisting facts himself. He described the incident as "assault". Not sure how is he doing anything differently than the rest.

While I agree with you, I wouldn't expect of him the same now.

But it is "right wingers" who want echo chamber?
They sure do, yes.
Extremists on both sides are unable to deal with opposing views in any constructive manner, that's one of the telltale signs of an extremist. Though you are right that the right-wing side of the horseshoe is less trigger happy with bans.

But honestly, at least to me, this isn't about sides but about getting rid of people who contribute just about nothing of value on a gaming forum and are only here because all other places got rid of their political/cultural warring - either by picking a side and banning all others like Reeeera or rpg.net or by banning the warring itself like rpgpub or neogaf, I'd hope that Codex would pick the latter.

Unwelcome refugees, if you want.
If they leave on their own, then as I said... cool!
But I sure don't mind if staff helps them a bit.

I guess we'll find out if he ever releases another game.

Yes, that makes a lot more sense. Football in Prague has a long history and countless of conflicts and episodes from the past that those fans and hooligans keep alive. We should not assume that we immediately understand what's actually going on.

I didn't really understand why he thought the "hooligan" would necessarily need to assault the Jews. Afaik from my own experience with BFC hools and what is usually said about the hooligan scene they don't attack ordinary people but are in a sport with other hooligans fighting each other, sort of adrenaline junkies. As long as no one pissed off the guy, for example over his t-shirt, hit on his good looking girlfriend or anything he would not give a shit about people minding their own business. If the Jews were hooligans however and this was the time for a battle, they would run at each other and threaten to hit each other with traffic signs. It is a bit stupid, and they might even agree, but it's sort of rational if they are after the adrenaline rush which must be immense.

Daniel seems just reflecting on various thoughts. I know him as an honest and direct guy and imo he just doesn't understand what the point of all this is, or if there even is a point. He looks like he would be able to punch back if he is threatened, maybe he was in the military, but he is a successful game developer now so he is naturally above such things. So he wonders, what would be the benefit if society suppresses threatening opinions, t-shirts etc? Or is there a benefit of such expressions that has always been there. Provocation could be a surrogate for much more harmful things, and maybe the hooligan has already figured out what society on the whole has not. He also mentions a few interesting thoughts about society keeping a stratum of the lower class poor so they must join the armed forces which are worthwile avenues out of the box. He is thinking in many directions at once, just sounds perplexed why there are no better ways to deal with various issues.
