There is near unanimous agreement that D:OS is FUN despite its minor flaws.
No, not really. There's a unanimous agreement that it has fun combat and a decent bit of character creation. Yet has a terribad story with crap characters, becomes stale mid-game, doesn't actually support nonlinear play, is often obtuse and boring, and lots of people only even forcing themselves to finish it, usually using the same OP strategy again and again. Which Larian also thought was bad game design I suppose, seeing as they attempted to nerf/rebalance it in a recent patch. :balance:
And WL2 is a linear piece of phoned in shit.onlyd fanboys and ks apologists like dildolos and infinitron insist otherwise.
The people who think it's a piece of shit are the loud minority.
It's okay: :pete:

Aren't they going to do a Kickstarter update for this beta update? I need something to copy-paste to a newspost, dammit

Sure its unanimous if you count the retards frothing in steam boards.

Yet has a terribad story
Storyfags should go read a book or something and keep thier Visual Novel focus out of cRPGs.

becomes stale midgame.
Only to the unimaginative storyfags who want to be spoonfed everything.

doesn't actually support nonlinear play
:retarded:

There are MULTIPLE OP strategies if you take some time to explore the systemic approach used there. :smug:

Resistances was too OP actually. And FUN was first design goal which was clearly achieved.

The people who think it's a piece of shit are the loud minority.

It is mediocre with no memorable moments which make you go 'That's pretty cool!!'
Entirely Forgettable.

Not yet I wanted to wait until I played v278 to see how the combat flowed, currently I think my ideas are on target, because it's too slow and recovery time is pissing many people off.

I'm also still waiting on some graphs from Matt516, I'll PM him again tonight.

Jeez this build has some horrible bugs, in many ways it's a regression

To be expected though, you make a fix, you create a new bug sometimes.

They need to put themselves in a position where they can issue quick hotfixes after every new release. The other Kickstarter games do that.

What do you think of the following suggestion:

Remove current health/stamina, only use Health (stamina).
Instead of a two-bar system, apply a IE-like "fatigue" debuff when knocked down, but perhaps in three stages or something.
Wouldn't that be a hella lot better, and also more IE-like?

I dunno man it sounds good in mah hed.

Eh. I don't think any of the new/uncovered bugs comes even close to the worst issues in the old build.

They are looking at making the patches more frequent I think Brandon said.

If the issue with DT is real that's pretty bad, however the important thing about this build is that we can actually see what combat feels like, which is very important.

They just need to tune the Stamina to Health ratios man. It needs to be like at least double.

Wasn't that issue around before though? I seem to recall similiar reports.

Ofc, maybe I'm thinking of something different.

What does it mean to use a per-encounter ability outside of combat, anyway? Is this ever gonna come back? :)

You can use per encounter abilities outside of combat, but you can't use buffs - how dumb is that.

Well, if you count modals as buffs then those work.

Perhaps it's a bug.

Anyway, not sure this clicking noise when you move your mouse between dialogue options and options menu options is necessary.
