That shouldn't have been bait. It's not controversial. The game's packed with bugs, and some of them are meta-bugs, such as: abilities getting wiped off of character sheets, stats bugged so high a character can one-hit enemies barehanded, the aforementioned saved game bloat, the game crashing upon exiting an area and being unable to re-enter it subsequently, one of your characters suddenly attacking a friendly town NPC as your party moves past without being ordered and with no provocation (I can get a video of this if you like; it's pretty peculiar), the list goes on.
This shit's making news at Kiketaku and other shitty gaming "journalism" sites, but yeah, it's imaginary though. Probably Blaine trying to besmirch our beloved Obsidian's reputation.
Benign or gameplay bugs such as floating text continuing to appear after you've killed someone, visual anomalies such as the blue enchanted item border "showing through" multiple stash tabs onto items that aren't enchanted, Shadows teleporting too often, dialog bugs, etc. aren't a big deal, but there are plenty of them too.
I just don't like how some people make a big deal out of minor bugs. Yes, minor. Even the annoying "lose racial traits" bug is a minor fucking bug (unless you are playing on Hard and Paths of Iron, I realise in that case you need every benefit you can get).
You've mentioned Kotaku, I think they are actually being very fair but you can see from the comments section how all the retard masses see is "HURRR BUGSIDIAN!". That hurts Obsidian in the long run because it gives them a reputation they do not deserve.
I may seem like I'm getting a bit "BEHEAD THOSE WHO INSULT OBSIDIAN" in this thread but that is only because Obsidian are on the verge of a breakthrough here and this is good for CRPGs. If PoE is a success it means they can make more isometric RPGs like these, while continuing to make modern action RPG titles like New Vegas and South Park.
