Hilarious considering allt he fanboys cried about how the rigths were 'stolen' from the creators when in reality it seems that the creators 'sold out'. I have no problemsm but the crying here was hysterical.

Risen IS basically Gothic except for the name, even them getting the rights to Gothic again, what would they do with it?
sell them to EA

That would be unwise. EA would turn right around and sue Piranha Bytes for copyright infringement because Risen is too similar to Gothic.

Yeah.. that will never happen (selling IP to EA or EA sueing for "copyright infringment").

Very good news.

Hopefully a Gothic 4 is made after Risen 2, seeing as we haven't got one yet.

Considering that Risen was basically Gothic 4 from setting, mood, dialogue, visuals, etc. I don't see how JoWood losing the licence changes much. PB will make good games, whether they are called Risen x or Gothic x or X. They will still not reach the glory of G2NotR or even G1 simply because they dropped one of the best gameplay schemes of any action RPG/adventure I have ever played (M&B is the only that comes close, but satisfying in different ways) und substituted it with more "accessable" schemes that I find merely decent.
