You guys didn't read what I wrote, I'm talking about speed runs of games that aren't designed around speed or reaction time or any of the things that make speed runs interesting. Speed running a Final Fantasy game would be boring as hell (and thus pointless).
You could say the same about track and field competitions. I mean, some guys try to determine who can run from point A to point B faster at some particular point. Or throwing some sticks or stones as far as possible while other people watch this happen.
Just how retarded is that. No sarcasm. Speedruns are actually more entertaining than track and field (and just about most other sports). Besides, every game that's ''finishable'' is designed for speed runs automatically.

I enjoy watching Speedruns of "boring" RPGs because they're a quick way to get a dosage of nostalgia without actually spending 10-70 hours actually playing the game. Puts that 1 hour into perspective.

Still doesn't beat Morrowind Speedrun. It's more impressive to do all of this than spam dialogue choices.

Well, it's damn impressive up to the moment noclip is used. Or am I missing something and all this is legitimate?

If you've never played Morrowind:
Player picks up sunder and keening and hotkeye'd them to swap them constantly, a bug resulting in massive boost in his stats. He drinks potion of levitation and through sheer speed just manages to get through collisions due to how fast he moves.
