A few interesting questions here. Why are japanese developers so bad at controls? Do they hate players? Are tiny asian hands to blame? When american studios screw up the controls, why does it always seem like nobody that worked on the game actually played it? etc.

Biggest console disappointment of the last 10 years was playstation-style ABXY buttons winning out over gamecube-style 'satellite' positioning where the default hand position was more comfortable and it was actually possible to hit two buttons simultaneously.
