For the purposes of coordination, I propose that we start a Skype channel. Now, I know some voted for IRC, but it seems they were unaware that it was possible to create group chats without voice in Skype.

Could you post your Skype names so that I could contact you and add you to our conference? Even if we don't use it now, it might come in handy in the future.

you can put persistent links to pastebin in a channel's topic as a means of announcing stuff and everything

still, i don't mean to derail this thread with criticism of this decision so i'm off to considering if i should call off the dark aura due to no damn karma gain

Well, we've got the in-game forum for announcing stuff. What we need is a convenient chat. Not just for war, actually. For instance, we were discussing the terms of surrender for Knights Templar with Malakal, and it was rather inconvenient to do so via in-game mail.

The problem with IRC, as I said, is that it doesn't save anything. It would be more convenient if someone who logged in later on could see the entire discussion.
