I do not know who at Obsidian decided to put long dialog trees before fights that one shot my entire party in 3 seconds without providing the courtesy of an auto save (Endless Paths Final Boss, I'm looking at you), but I do not like him.

I am lazy and redoing all the dialog choices is pretty irritating - the crazy watcher fight had the same problem.

Clearly, I should have buffed my party before the fi... oh, wait. :balance:

Anyway, thanks for your input, but I only play Borderlands.

The end boss gives you a save though, so that is something :)

So... you don't like talking to bosses, because you rather kill them at first sight? Or you want to know if the NPC will attack you, so you can buff before?

    It seems you're casual.

Don't know how it applies for other boss fights, but for Raedric, the game auto-paused (enemies on sight) just after the talk with the boss and I was able to save manually.

I like talking to the enemy before fighting them (perhaps even talking them out of a fight), but I agree it's a tad annoying to have to do the same dialogue three or four times because your initial strategies fail. I was getting stomped yesterday by some guy that interrupted me at the crossroads, he was one of those antler guys and he had perhaps seven strong mercenaries backing him up.

on the other hand, I don't want to wait for the game to auto save after every dialogue that results in combat.
