Greetings. Seeing how there is interest for a new game and CodexIII is coming to a close, methinks it's time to start a new thread to leisurely start a new game. CodexIV died a dog's death between my terrible choice to do a modded game and being swamped, so I'll keep this clear and simple.

We're doing vanilla, but I can include some mods if people vote for them decisively. Like...

I'll freely admit I have switched the last two for fun purposes. I hope there are no complaints. If we want to switch nations for compatibility purposes, for me it's good.

We'll start in January and I'll close the Age vote in seven days. You'll be free to join later but I need to get an age and some planning going before 2025!
Map will be a randomgen map and I'll try to fix it to the best of my capabilities. I prefer the inbuilt random generator to other options.... despite it being clunky at best.

I'm gonna take a Dominions break when after the LA game. I've been playing non-stop since February, often two games at a times, and I went really close to burning out for good and giving up altogether.

Current war somehow gave me back some motivation and interest but I'm kind of looking forward some time without having to manage a goddam empire.

We could. The two options are a 4vs4 if we get players 7 and 8 or 2vs2vs2vs2 if we get player 7 and 8. I'm not opposed to it, as Disciples lessens the diplo hell and it's a novel system by itself.

I'd suggest that people take a nation and vote if they want Disciples, and what type. I know that Disciples isn't for everyone, so let's try to get the best number of players after various burnouts.

As for myself, I've seriously tried something different. I tried to build Ubar. I tried to build Helheim. I tried Tir. Nothing feels good. I tentatively pick Ea C'tis, because I never played with the lizard fuckers and I'm a boring person.

I'd prefer doubles (maybe trips) simply because 2 sides turn the game into a hellbless contest unless there's a no-rush period.

If you're willing to use Blitzerver to allow for my insistence on piracy I'd call dibs on Yomi solo, or Yomi in disciples if someone wants to do the chaos demon dream team with me as Lanka, otherwise I could disciple as Mekone for scales builds.

I do agree, even if a 2vs2vs2vs2 has some iffy possibilities in weirdo balance. We still need player 7 and 8 anyway.

I'd like a tenth player for 5 2-players Disciple teams. Five sounds interesting for good diplo and avoiding everyone going hellbless, truth be told, but we'll see what the majority prefers. If there's a strong soul willing to enlist, get in, we need to spread the love.

I'm still working on understanding Blitzserver because I'm mentally impaired, but I also need to work on teams. I could technically do completely random teams, but then we'll get a Malakal/Sqeecoo combo and we'll suffer the curse of the Diplomancer. So, people, freely tell: 2vs2vs2vs2vs2 or 3vs3vs3 or 5vs5 and Handpicked Teams (We'll discuss, maybe in PM , relative skill levels and try to work accordingly) or Random Teams.

5*2 if there are 10 players or 3*3 if 9. Handpicked makes sense. That said I'd really like the Yomi/Lanka team to become reality.
