That sounds absurd, its 871 us dollars for the console and 116 $ for the games . Absurd but then again when i saw the first xbox 360 and ps3 games priced at 70 euros (89$) , i thought it was a joke or a place holder price, it wasnt.

Some British store is taking preorders at 400 sterlings. Cheapest Xbox360 version at launch was 200. Take that as you will.

Blaine, if you're still seeing a broken white Codex, close your tab and open a new one.

We need an entire console sub section, with multiple forums. It's quite clear there's a HUGE demand for it.

But then you might actually be hard pressed informing us that we suck in all of them.

You could use a macro, maybe.

Again, it probably just means Steam. Indies can self-publish on steam, but Valve takes most of the profit. MS wants to do the same.

You're both wrong. It just means THE SAME AS ITS ALWAYS BEEN. Indies can't self-publish on Xbox 360 either. This is a continuation of Microsoft's regular policy.

    What? This is false.

Its not about being fans of it, its about observing a glorious flaming train wreck that is next^2-gen consoles. PS4 is likely to be even larger (50% bigger GPU, need to cool that shit, and GDDR also) and more expensive. Otoh PS4 will be actually a decent gaming, somewhat overpriced, mid-range PC.

    ???

You said "Valve takes most of the profit". That's false. If you think I'm wrong, please provide a source.

What was I wrong about? Indies can't self-publish.
It doesn't matter if it was the same on 360 because that's the previous gen. Indies will be able to self-publish on the PS4. They can self-publish on PC.

Steam by most accounts take around 30% of all generated revenue for indie games. That left over 70% still needs to account for Dev costs, the cost of putting your game on greenlight - etcetera. So it is not inconceivable that Valve can profit more.

Also, afaik Live Arcade on the 360 catered for indies.

I'm not even going to dignify this with a response.

    Nice trolling, though.

The best possible thing that any company can do is get it's customers to create content for them that other people want. It is baffling to me that there are only a developer studios that understand this.
