Mind you, the difficulty's not that surprising. This gamebook doesn't use hit points, dice or codewords, and our inventory seems to be quite static. If you can't be non-fatally hurt, miss a useful object/information, face a save-or-die roll that could have been avoided, be forced to use a single-use item that could have helped you at a later point, or anything like that, well, there aren't many possible consequences for bad decisions. Either you make the right choice or it's Game Over.
