I'm confused here, Codex review reads basically like "Risen is Gothic 2 but better!" while Gamebanshee's reads like "Nowhere near Gothic 2 and severely dumbed down quests". Both can't be true!

Stop being intentionally obtuse for (lame) comedic effect and just play the games.

Alright. I found the difference in opinion between two reviewers who both seem to value complexity and depth in an RPG interesting and would like them to elaborate on their thoughts regarding the quest design in the games mentioned.

Gamebansheet is right in this case. Risen is easily inferior to both Gothics.
