Why are we appeasing iPad users by giving them good games? Didn't Neville Chamberlain teach us the results of this sort of thing?

I read a few brief impressions and apparently the control scheme is quite difficult to get used to. Also apparently you can't play as some of the factions available in the original game? Not sure about that one yet.

Last autumn, ROME: Total War for iPad brought Creative Assembly’s classic strategy game to mobile. This March, the fearsome Barbarian Invasion will open a new chapter of antiquity’s greatest conflicts on your tablet.

Three centuries after the campaigns of ROME: Total War, the all-conquering Roman Empire faces a day of reckoning with the belligerent hordes menacing its frontiers.

Play out the final years of the Empire as a Barbarian commander determined to bring it down, or take up arms as a Roman General and extend its civilization into a glorious new epoch.

we've set the unit sizes based on what each iPad model can handle without taking a performance hit, so you'll always get tip-top performance on the supported iPads. Here's the maximum unit sizes:
  • iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini 3 & iPad Air - 20 men
  • iPad Mini 4 & iPad Air 2 - 40 men
  • iPad Pro (both sizes) - 80 men
