It's a small price for having BG1&2 at 16 and 40Alpha Protocole at number 8 or 11 should tell you something about the viability of an average score system....
They should still be at the bottom of their lists. If I'm reading this formula correctly, it means that games with few votes and low average would significantly improve their standing. I'm not sure I agree with such concept.
Except it favours games which got half of 5s and half of 0s (zeros) over those which got 4s across the board, so it's not really that accurate.I actually like this second list by averages better. It puts Dragon Age and KOTOR further down, and the Ultima games, Jagged Alliance 2, and Quest for Glory IV further up.
Whatever, it removes Fallout: New Vegas from the Top 10 and kicks Icewind Dale II out of the Top 50.
Added it to the OP, it should give people a different perspective.

Get the fuck out of here heathen! So basically this list traded Icewind Dale for Wizardry 8 for extra kodex edginess. Nice to see a blobber in the top 10 but maybe next time we should upvote one that doesn't suck brutally. Then again, it's probably the only one 75 % of the youngfags here actually played.
But that is one of the better IE games.Benefits .... Icewind Dale II out of the Top 50!
Why haven't you newsposted my chart yet?
Reviewing the wikipedia article, m is some kind of fudge factor, not a minimum number of votes and it's based on how wide you expect the spread of results to be.If I'm reading this formula correctly, it means that games with few votes and low average would significantly improve their standing. I'm not sure I agree with such concept.Try using the bayesian average:
(C*m+R*v)/m+v
C - the general mean (I guess that would be 2.5 in our case)
m - minimum number of votes (say 30 or whatever you want)
R - the average score for the particular game
v - total number of votes for the game
Whatever, it removes Fallout: New Vegas from the Top 10 and
Benefits include New Vegas out of the Top 10 and Icewind Dale II out of the Top 50! Wow!
BG and IWD.What IE game is worse than Icewind Dale II?
You're kind of missing the point here.Except it favours games which got half of 5s and half of 0s (zeros) over those which got 4s across the board, so it's not really that accurate.I actually like this second list by averages better. A game that everybody rates 4 out of 5 shouldn't be able to get the top spot.
No.BG and IWD.What IE game is worse than Icewind Dale II?
Aw fuck, just noticed that System Shock 2 date on the excel is 1994 instead of 1999....
