God, you don't see the seriousness of this situation, do you? Kids..
Sweety, a cat can eat a mouse whole, if the mouse is very little - like a newly born one. *Pets Andhaira on his little furry head* :D

"Gromnir, you're not really making a case for making the MotB companions auto-rez. Not only does the design not require them for anything, but there's no reason why the player couldn't raise them using magical means in game. Resources are plentiful, and two of the companions can raise people with their own abilities. "

if developers know that character X is alive at all times, then they can, at key plot points, has those characters add to story... whether such a character is currently in your party or not. is a story development issue, not a game resource issue.

lack o' in-game character resources were never a factor in any of the ie games. high-level not make any difference. were quite easy to get characters resurrected/raised as far back as bg1.

even so, gotta think practical. play through 2/3 of game then find out that it really woulda' been better to have hagspawn in party when visiting the coveya? crap. well heck, chances are if the hagspawn died early in game you probably sold off his equipment and never bothered to make appropriate gear for him with crafting... and chances are you missed all the pre-coveya dialogues that made meeting the hags with gann more fulfilling.

and heck, am guessing you gotta come up with a whole new mechanic too... 'cause how you go 'bout true resurrection in motb anyways? keep a body in inventory maybe? spell as it is now gotta have a target, but true resurrect not need a body.

is not in-game resources.

HA! Good Fun!
