Love the art style. Can't help but root for a project like this to turn out.

We just got your finalized monster and island/NPC designs for the expansion, and they all look fantastic. That island will be an awesome addition. We wanted to extend the invite to the vertical slice playtest which we'll be doing soon, prior to the beta which you'll all be getting. We wanted to get a random select few folks thoughts on general mechanics and gameplay in our original small couple areas we designed, now with all the mechanic polish up to this point. If you're interested let me know your OS and email, or if Crooked Bee has a big list we can add everyone to the list.

We also just did another Kickstarter update with some more info on some of the remaining systems we've polished up while we've been adding more maps and puzzles. Write-yo-own journal, incantations, stealing companions stats with blood magic, some fun stuff:

I have a list of users who donated, but not their emails or OS's, so I'd suggest that everyone interested should just PM/email you directly.

Re: the in-game Codex content, the island is agris' Glowing Isle, the monster race is groke's isometric Arnhem-inspired design (which we trust Whalenought to rework as necessary), and the NPC is Zed's idea of a mad scientist responsible for creating those monsters in the first place. As winners of our contest, these three users (agris, groke and Zed) are also automatically eligible for vertical slice/beta/whatever access, so you should definitely PM/email Whalenought_Joe about it.

I'm really impressed with every update. The systemic AI is nice, seems like it's the cool thing these days, D:OS did it, Bethesda comes up with fancy PR names for it. I like being able to add my own journal entries. The pixel art just looks incredible. The incantation system seems really cool.

Also, is the woman's avatar Denise Richards?

"Bogumil"...

MFW a name deeply ingrained in the collective Czech subconscious as the archetypal hick pops up as a random shopkeeper. :))

Thanks guys! We'll update you on here with the monster art when we get to it, we'd like to include it in the beta (Codex privilege). Poor Bogumil, glad to be working in a new kind of iron-age eastern european fantasy world, lots of fun monsters to take from myths.

Gotta agree with everyone here, this game looks better and better with every update. I just love that so many hopefully great rpgs are on the horizon, times aren't that bad for roleplayers :)
