Some clues for timeline of development. From a programmer named Sebastian Shelley (probably a relative of David Shelly?)'s resume. He was pretty much junior at the time, and took the role of lead engineer:

Software Lead Engineer
Company Name Tactical Simulations Interactive
Dates Employed Jun 2015 – Oct 2016
Employment Duration 1 yr 5 mos
Location San Jose, California

Created the prototype for an unpublished turn-based RPG in Unreal Engine 4. Created the combat system and party movement. Implemented art assets and FX into the game. Also created enemy AI that would attack the player's party.

"unpublished"

I guess the game is practically canned around that time.

It is unfortunate that this thing never came together but its shamefur dispray to not even make an announcement to their fans about it. They have a homepage, they have a FB account and the email lists of their backers, they could've at least told their fans that this project fell apart.

Porky reminded me of this so I thought it'd be fun to necro.

It's been nearly five years now. The dream is dead.

Nearly ten years later now! I can't believe the web site still works. A glimpse into What Never Was.

They probably signed a 10-year contract.

Someone posted in their Gold Box forum as recently as a year ago, but nobody responded.

Somewhere a middle-aged Italian man pretending to be Native American sheds a single tear.

My personal theory was always that Roguey was Crispy's love child, and Crispy denied it because he didnt want to pay Roguey's mom (the infamous UPS girl) alimony.
