Love the concept art, except for the character models but that's not a deal breaker for me.

Let's see how actual in game footage looks like.

The city looks great, if they can capture that look and feel with actual graphics, make it feel alive, it'll be one fine looking game. But to do that they'll need nicely designed characters populating it, and the ones shown here are a mixed bag. The regular folks with the umbrellas, the mohawk guy and the dwarf in the leather jacket look good and fit with the environment. All the others just aren't working, they stand out too much and bring attention in an annoying out-of-place way. Still, it's obvious they just stickied some concept sketches onto the city painting, hopefully they'll look a lot better in game.

Also slightly disappointed to hear they're going with 3D character models, would much prefer nicely detailed and animated 2D sprites, but you can't have everything. Looking forward to hearing more on this game.

You guys are awfully worked up about something that was debunked as fake by even the putative developers. It's not an actual game, they even admit this. It's just fake. Why worry about it?

Actually, even if you discount vaporware, there is still a strong inverse relationship between how awesome a game "will be" and how awesome it actually is. The more awesome a game "will be", the shittier it actually ends up.

The characters do look like a facebook game. The background art is quality. I don't really care about it that much though as long as the game itself is good. It seems to be going in a positive direction at least.

Not a bad rough draft of the Sprawl, but still rough.

Needs more Akira'esque floating 3D-hologram megacorp advertisements and terminals for deckers.

Also, they should re-read Neuromancer and Snowcrash for inspiration...looks a bit too bladerunner and not enough cyberpunk/shadowrun.

Hmmm, a bit too bland.
The neon lights and everything, augmented reality, it's all part of Shadowrun really. It's that glitzy light, that bright but still utterly decadent show of color. This isn't diablo where color is not good.
This is Shadowrun. Cities are bathed in neon lights, visual feasts. All the while the city is rotting to the core.

Wtf guys. If the creator of Shadowrun doesn't give a fuck for his own setting why the fuck should I?
Also, how does he not give a fuck for his own setting?
The concept is still there, the sprites will need to be changed, but overall it looks good.
How does he not care about his setting?

Looks meh. The people saying the background is better than WL2 one need a new pair of glasses. It looks like fucking Borderlands. Also, cel-shaded 3D touched up a bit in photoshop is now the new 2D, just like blurred and touched up 3D was 2D in the nineties. News at eleven.

Bro, it looks ok to me. Except the characters. But a lot of folks say it looks too much like bladerunner and too little like shadowrun. Like no glowing neon shit etc. Whatever was mentioned before that the "real" shadowrun looks like. Therefore my comment.

Odd, there appears to be glowing neon shit.

Maybe it needs to be neon-er.
