Those HP bloatdragons and the way the plot develops to a fetch blood quest to open a gimmicky gate are pure

Yeah I felt the game was better pre-dragons.
With dragons the whole encounters felt meh.
I'd be glad to install no-dragons mod after the main quest ends.

You know I wouldn't ask if it wasn't important.

04.jpg

It's the only way to find Alduin before it's too late.

05.jpg

06.jpg

This battle would not take long at all. I have a shout that can bring down any dragon!

07.jpg

Alright, what if you didn't have to worry about an enemy attack while this is happening?

08.jpg

09.jpg

You're right. Someone of importance must be able to mediate between the two sides. Someone neutral.

10.jpg

You might be right.

11.jpg

It's worth a try.

12.jpg

Let's not hope for too much.

13.jpg

Yes, but he escaped. Listen, I need your help in negotiating a cease fire between the Imperial and Stormcloaks.

16.jpg

Look, the Jarl of Whiterun would not let me carry out the plan if there's a threat to his city!

17.jpg

So. Will you help me?

19.jpg

20.jpg

Thank you, Arngeir.

Castle Windhelm

Jarl Ulfric, the Greybeards have summoned you and General Tullius to High Hrothgar to negotiate a truce until the dragon menace is dealt with.

24.jpg

25.jpg

26.jpg

Be assured, I'll make that happen.

Look, I just need you to agree to a case fire until the dragon threat is dealt with.

31.jpg

32.jpg

Haven't you seen the reports? The dragons are a bigger problem than the Stormcloaks right now!
Even if you beat the Stormcloaks, can you fight the dragons with your forces exhausted from the war?

33.jpg

There may have been some truth in your words, but Jarl Ulfric has agreed to attend.

34.jpg

35.jpg

Does that mean you'll come?

36.jpg

Finally. Time to settle this once and for all.

I trade your GPOW for your KSOH

As I rode towards High Hrothgar, I notice two familiar figures.

01.jpg

02.jpg

You mean Parthunax? A dragon? He helped me fight Alduin.

03.jpg

What does it matter? He's on our side now.

04.jpg

05.jpg

Look, you old fool, the Blades are just the TWO of you now. What are you trying to accomplish really?

06.jpg

07.jpg

What did he do that is deserving of death?

08.jpg

09.jpg

10.jpg

Justice, eh?
If that's really what you think, then know that we stand on separate paths from now on.
Your order will no longer have my backing. I don't need your help. I have other allies, Esbern.

I'm sorry, Arngeir. Shall we?

Don't worry, I'll get them to agree to peace.

Wow, that camera spinning was annoying, RK. Had to switch away from the video for a while, even having it in my peripheral vision made me dizzy.

That council was ridiculously stupid. Who even cares about handing over Riften, the Dragonborn will just take it back in one day.

PS: oh, and that "kill Paarthurnax for us!" "choice" is kinda dumb and forced.

Towards Victory

Losing Riften seems like a small blow compared to the gains. Markath and Falkreath now belongs to Stormcloak.

01.jpg

Delphine too, did not budge when asked about Paarthurnax.

02.jpg

Whatever, the roles of the Blades are over in this fight. It's now up to me and the Jarl's men in Whiterun.

03.jpg

04.jpg

The blades want me to kill Paarthurnax.

05.jpg

Is it true what they said? Was he Alduin's ally?

06.jpg

07.jpg

Don't worry, I'm not going to kill Paarthurnax.

08.jpg

09.jpg

Time to bid farewell before heading out.

10.jpg

The Blades say you deserve to die.

12.jpg

Why not?

I don't know the answer to that. But if you stray from your path of righteousness, I'll be there to stop you.
Farewell, friend.

Hmm, more bullshit in that section, surely you don't have to set him free, your bro paarthurnax could've probably taken you there? Already have trust due to fighting Alduin once..

I don't own Dawnguard. So I don't run the latest Requiem.

Another draugr dungeon crawl followed by another dragon fight that is functionally identical to all other dragonfights (except for the meteors, I suppose, which are cool). That's uh, not very creative. And kind of anti-climactic. Oh well. It's not like it's the end of the game anyway.

Except for Daggerfall, the finale of every Elder Scrolls game has inadvertently been terrible.

Holy shit that was dull. Ulfric may be the least inspirational leader ever.

Nice attempt at ending slides tho.

Will you play a good game next?
