Back when NWN2 and MotB were fresh, I was curious about the mods. For god knows what reason, I decided to download a whole collection of nude mods for the campaigns.

I wanted to see it was like to have a stark bollocks naked party of adventurers, and how silly it would look to see butt naked men and women of several fantasy races ninja their way to victory.

I regretted that very quickly. God, those were some ugly mods. Was nauseating to see how crudely drawn all the...genitalia and body shapes were. Worse, it felt like you took some dolls, ripped the clothes of the dolls, made dirty drawings over them, and started playing with them.

After the 10 minutes I spent playing that damn thing, I uninstalled those mods, vowing to never do it again. Hard to get over the feeling that I was nearly as much of a loser as those modders were.

I guess it's got to do with the illusion of living as a powerful character, thus fulfilling his alpha-male desires.

There's nothing wrong with romance, nudity, rape or killing children in videogames. It's just how things are implemented in the game. If the game (or in some cases the countless battles) becomes an excuse for a dating sim, then it will suck big time. But if it's just another component of the game, I'm cool with it.

Only game that I did anything like this with was NWN2 since I wanted to convert the denizens of Sword Coast from Taliban lookalikes to classic Sword&Sorcery style. So I installed the Eternal Summer and Sexy OC mods, though without the facial "upgrade" as that actually made the faces more awful. But at least the burqas were replaced by minidresses and so on.

TBH I have nothing against nudity in games, so I also have nothing in principle against nude mods.

I actually consider judeochristian views on the subject that are so deeply ingrained in vestern civilization to just not be terribly healthy.

That said, porn in general tends to be just fucking crude, and your typical nude mods not only single-mindedly focused on sexuality, but also just embarrassingly bad - not suited for my standards.

I actually think it's also a side effect of this judeochristian baggage and failure to discard it even when making porn - obsession is an obsession, regardless whether it makes you selectively and conspicuously omit or focus on its object.

If you were making a game somewhat inspired by ancient greek mythology and culture, you'd pretty much have to include stuff like heroic nudity and some swinging dicks, but I don't think this would invalidate such game as a potentially interesting thing, but get an indie team to make such a game and it will make a fucking Parhedros.
