Something's not right here:Users with special user numbers either don't exist or only logged in once

However, they don't exist!!! You only get an error message when you try to search for these users! How is this possible? I tell you how: Users with those numbers obviously existed at some point in the past and they were of course involved in the conspiracy as well. However, they were purged after internal power struggles. It's the only explanation.
or you know, they got banned.

And there's many more inactive accounts than active accounts, so any random id is more likely to be inactive anyway; since account ids are sequential, you can see on that page the number of existing account and compare that to the number of active accounts

Strap Yourselves In
But wait! It gets even more sinister! There should be way more users with special numbers than I have listed, namely these:

111
222
333
444
777
1111
5555
6666

1000
4000
5000
6000
7000

123
321

1352
1488

However, they don't exist!!!

My conspiracy theory is that Xenforo purges accounts with zero posts after some years. The super-old accounts that still survive have at least one post.

Now who is this Xenforo you may ask? That is where it gets really interesting.....

In any case, I ask you, fellow Codexians, to help me uncover the goal of these diabolical machinations!
My theory: As a baseline, some 90% of the users on a forum will never post at all and 99% will be mostly inactive, posting only a few times and leaving. Therefore, for any given number, there's a 99% chance you will discover exactly what you discovered about those "special numbers". Assuming those users have no knowledge whatsoever of their number and behave like the typical user, this is what you would expect. The ones that are missing entirely are the ones that have been purged from the database for total disuse. As userIDs are not recycled, this behavior is similarly expected.

Nothing to see here, move along.

If DU ever wanted to make more money, I'm sure he could make a buck or two auctioning off old accounts with low join dates.

I'm sure certain shitposters would be eager to acquire such prestigious accounts to use as alts.

though once it's known that older account can be auctionned, they would loose their prestige, no?

The dex is a flat disk and always has been. GD was made in a studio.

Close. You ever read any articles about AI chat bots? If you have, you'll notice that they all converge into the same exact thing. Take Microsoft's former Twitter bot for example:

Does that sound like anyone on the Codex? Multi-billion dollar corporations don't just throw away promising AI technology due to public backlash. They just find... alternative places for it to grow and evolve.
