Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be revealed in April
Star Wars Celebration panel will discuss game coming from Respawn later this year

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the forthcoming action adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, will be revealed at Star Wars Celebration this April, Lucasfilm announced Wednesday.

The game will be shown off during a special panel on Saturday, April 13. (Star Wars Celebration 2019 runs April 11-15 in Chicago.) The game’s story involves “a Padawan who survived Order 66,” and it is set “in the time after the fall of the Jedi Order.”

That, of course, references the events of 2005’s Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, when Emperor Palpatine exterminated the Jedi. So this game will be set in an era explored by films such as Rogue One and video games like 2008’s Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and its 2010 sequel.

The official Star Wars Twitter account also announced Wednesday that principal photography on The Mandalorian, the live-action TV series coming to the Disney Plus streaming service, has been completed. More on that may be seen in the video embedded below.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was first announced in 2016, and formally named at E3 2018. The game is part of Electronic Arts’ long-term exclusive deal with Disney and Lucasfilm to make Star Wars video games, although in January EA canceled an untitled open-world gamethat Visceral Games had started back in 2013.

Beyond the details about the panel, the hosts of The Star Wars Show also gave a synopsis of Fallen Order. It has you playing as a Padawan who escapes Order 66, Emperor Palpatine’s near-annihilation of the Jedi that happens at the end of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. As this character, you will “explore the galaxy.”

Project: Eternity Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
This is supposed to be the first EA SW game that is developed with actual single-player in mind, right?

I wonder what's gonna be the catch this time around?
Open world live service like the Far Cry and Assassins Creed games at Ubisoft.

Would rather see him work on an RPG but considering that every Star Wars game in the last nearly 15 years has been absolute garbage this could be an improvement.

Meh. Even if everything else goes right (which it won't under EA) it will still be set in Disney's horrifically retarded universe. The one where the New Republic leaves the remnant alone, even though it controls the entire core, then demilitarized despite the remnant being next door and gets wiped out by a magic fleet from nowhere coming out of the unknown regions (yes, it's THAT retarded).

Beside, orphaned Padawan was the stock origin for level 1 Jedi in the Dark Times, including Dawn of Defiance.

Ah man I'm just gonna replay Republic Commando and just forget this new stuff even exists. And back then I thought Republic Commando was nuStar Wars decline.

It was so incline considering even at the time there were already too many "play as Jedi" games, its actually amazing how despite so many possibilities as making RTS, Flight Sims, Space Sims, FPS Star Wars games ended up being "Lighsaber Wielder Simulator 20xx", granted there were games that did that at the time but no more TIE/X-Wing games, no more Rogue Squadron ... not anything but having a Lightsaber and Force powers, when everyone is *special* then nobody is.

After Jedi Knight series and all the decline contributing games that have come out, my expectations are very low. Anyone believing this will be incline is part of the decline. If it turned out to be incline, I would be very surprised if it would not be cancelled just for that. Star Wars has been nothing but continuous decline since the Disney acquisition and they have worked hard at the Disney HQ to make sure that there will be no incline.

Yeah, seeing just how bad the force unleashed was makes you realize they have no idea how to make a decent SW game. We went from having almost exclusively decent SW games(XWing/TieFighter, DarkForces1&2, podracer, kotors, JK series, Rebellion, etc.) to having exclusively multiplayer and terrible ones.

Fallen Order will be action game.
They got God of War director which is great.

Fallen Order is being led by Stig Asmussen, who was game director on God of War 3 after Sony Santa Monica’s Cory Barlog (who returned to be game director on the God of War reboot) initially left the studio. “The game’s development is led by the former director of the God of War series, with a team of veterans from some of the industry’s biggest action-adventure games.

It'll probably force you to play some fierce and independent multi-cultural dyke with a grudge, accompanied by an insecure beta as well as a wise-cracking Basic-speaking bisexual Jawa.

They even managed to make some of the movie tie-in games like "Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace" or "Star Wars Episode I: Racer" halfway decent and spin-offs like KOTOR or Republic Commando.

Quiet tired of all the mediocre SW action games. I am bitter that we never got a good point&click Star Wars adventure game back in the good days of LucasArts to be nostalgic about today. Would have been soo good.

That's first real single player Star war game since KOTOR2.

Battlefront 2's singleplayer is a piece of shit gameplay wise, but if you're a Star Wars nutter I think it's worth a playthrough just for the visuals and such. It pretty much nails that aspect.
