Wait, why is there a radial dialogue menu when you can't use a gamepad?

Modern gamers can't be expected to read all the options in a dialogue menu before choosing one, because reading is hard. The radial dialogue menu lets players choose the top option if they want to be a good guy, and the bottom one if they want to be a bad guy. Isn't it great that Bioware trusts the players with such complex decisions?

But you can do the same thing with a list, lol.

True, but a radial menu is better because it's a circle. A list is a rectangle, and rectangles have edges that Bioware fans might cut themselves on.

Nothing wrong with a radial menu if it responds quickly and smoothly to mouse movement, which this one does.

I was hugely disappointed by the game as a whole, but I'll give credit where it's due: the Agent storyline is actually pretty good.

Indeed. That was what I played first, so I assumed there were seven more stories of that caliber waiting for me.

The Jedi Knight is far from that caliber though. At least for the first ten levels.

Jedi is quite generic, I'l tell you that now. Warrior is way better.

Yeah but I already did Agent, so another Imperial would be a lot of the same content. I wanted to see the Republic side. Figured I might as well go jedi knight since it's supposed to be "KotOR 3" in most respects.

    Maybe it picks up.

I got bored of both the Jedi Knight and Sith Inquisitor stories pretty quickly. Also I disliked the gameplay of the Jedi, just jumping in and then pressing 1, 2 and 3 over and over without much strategy or movement.

Ended up trying a trooper since I liked the Imperial Agent so much and people told me the stories were similar. They really are, you're more a Republic Agent than a trooper but I guess they wanted the class names to be different. Gameplay is more fun as well, running around shotgunning people. The game is insanely boring because of the MMO aspects though, so it will probably take me years to level a trooper up to the end, just playing here and there when waiting for to start something else. It's free though, can't complain.

Don't see myself branching out to any other MMOs though, unless they focus on story as much as TOR does.

You could give a whirl to Neverwinter or Star Trek Online, and only play the user-generated content. Those have better writing than TOR anyway.

Do you need to pay for PvP? If not, what exactly is end game content? Questing with groups? PvP? Because IMO the story and dialogue appear to be the only things worth playing this for, if that.

I might try some others but I'm wary of falling down that hole. I don't really like the gameplay much at all, and have no desire to ever group. I just tried TOR for story and to see the areas.

I am going to say to avoid PWE games as they decided to make their shitty Steam-wannabe client mandatory, if you had then installed it should be fine but otherwise if want to play them, do it with the Steam client.

You need to pay for unlimited access to warzones. If not you are limited to 5 a week, which might be fine if you are a casual PVPer. Basically Operations, flashpoints, and warzones you need to be subscribed or somehow jew the system getting tons of passes like many preferred players do.

Story is all free except for Makeb content.

I think the main problem is that you'll run into certain obstacles when you reach around level 20, primarily the fact that your two meager hotbars won't suffice anymore because the game feels the need to drown you with skills. At that point you'll probably want to fork out $4,99 to get Preferred status and have FOUR hotbars.
