Is it because of Grimrocks quality grafix that gave it immediate acceptance...

That's basically every indie game ever: the pretty ones get massive support because they're shiny, and the others struggle.

I guess, but Grimrock is awesome. It not only lived up to the hype, but it showed how elegently old school gameplay can be combined with new age technology. While I would love every indie developer(s) to profit great from their hard work and be able to do it full time and earn a respectable living, games that suck, whether they are indie or AAA+ should be penalized. Else before we know it we will be knee deep in shit with indies, the way we are with AAA+ games.
