This sword required Meteorite to upgrade but it went from 30 damage to this...

Did I win the game yet?
I'm guessing you lucked out on crafting and got a +4 instead of a +1.

Nicely done m8 xD

Finished act 1, still havent left for Cuanacht. Liking the game so far, but thinking about pausing my playthrough. Playing as a pure epementalist mage with most points in spirituality and some points in perception and endurance and besides the +spellpower and +mana nodes in skills i dont know where else to place points.

I sure hope the game gets a ability/talent overhaul, amongst other things.

Dont regret my purchase at all, backed the original game on kickstarter for peanuts and got both games out of it.

Right, same problem with my dual wield build. I don't need any 5% damage increases, most enemies drop after two heavy attacks anyway.

There needs to be a proper survival mode that removes about 70% of all loot, especially the ingredient clutter.

Game needs more enemy types as well, more mini bosses with some unique attacks and abilities. Most of the 3rd Act is just wolves, bears, undead and reskins of previous monsters.

No, this is a sword I found, the upgrades just provide a huge bump over any other weapon. Most weapon upgrades add +1-2 damage but for this one they add like +20. I bet it's bugged.

It does require Meteorite for material and the upgrades cost like 2k each though.

A major problem with the difficulty in this stems from the devs just not being very good at numbers, I think. I spent my whole playthrough (before getting bored and quitting near the end of act 2) wearing the same +spell power chest armor, because... nothing is better than +30% spellpower. At the end of act 2 I was still finding new mage equipment that offered such earth-shattering effects as +10% mana regen or +5% magical crit chance, and what kind of fucking moron looks at that and doesn't intuit that it's less effective than a flat +30% to all spells? If I'd gone melee the issue would be the same, with a fairly easy to obtain early set giving something absurd like +70% to all melee damage. There's a magic wand that causes your spells to cost 50% more mana, but deal 75% more damage, so again, unless you're just fucking around (which I did, because 1-shotting everything gets boring) why would you ever use anything else?

It's hard to say how much better the game could be if they just had a real gamer go through all their items and skill trees and rework everything obviously broken to keep the player roughly apace with enemy scaling throughout the game. I think the fundamentals are still bad no matter how much you dress them up - boring quest/world design isn't something you can fix in a patch - but the game might be able to keep its dopamine hooks in the player a bit longer if it weren't so transparently simple to break it over your knee.

Loved the late Western Rome aesthetics in second act, finally some “legioners” wearing trousers and not boring lorica segmentata.

I've heard people say magic is bad in this game, but does anyone have a melee weapon that does 600-700+ per swing? Not factoring in critical damage % and sneak attack %, which spells can also benefit from?

Powerful and bad are two different things. Magic that allow cool stuff, comes with risks and drawbacks is imo more interesting than "I win" buttons. And I disagree that magic is bad in this game, has lots of cool projectile spells, sadly lacks on non combat magic ie - fly, jump, mark/recall, etc/

There's a mod that fixes third person view but still not a mod to make your character in first person not a dwarf.

lmao
"The armor schematics you gave me were shit dude, where's the fucker that made these?"
"Why do you wanna know?"
"I want his autograph."
"Oh yea me too! He's in Timberwall!"

Holy shit the scene with Arthur and Merlin after you bind Excalibur. Hooooly shit. It's like a saturday morning cartoon, but somehow boring. Also those animations and lip sync. This is some Chinese Steam Shovelware tier crap.

Whatever you do, don't barge in and kill the autist. Breaks the quest and then you're stuck with it in your journal forever.

Should I wait for summer sale (25 days left) where it will get a possible 15% discount and ugs fixed or should i just pull the trigger and succumb to the FOMO?

Game needs major bugfixes and rebalancing at minimum right now, and a rework/expansion of the later parts of the game is probably in the cards at some point as well.

Why does scanning this game's exe file shows it's a malware/trojan?
False positive, the exe is probably scanning the hardrive at some point which is a behavior of most viruses.

And indeed it does, when it is verifying the integrity of game files in the beginning.
