Who gives a shit about the steam so called "reviews"? WE know how great this game really is!! But we also knew from the start that it wouldnt become a huge selling hit. The same thing happened to all other RPG masterpieces (Torment, Arcanum, VTMB, Fallout....). Lets just all enjoy this modern classic. Wait a second, why Am I wasting my time posting this while I can actually be playing AOD ATM???

Divinity: Original Sin 2 BattleTech Bubbles In Memoria A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit. Pathfinder: Wrath
dat RPS comment section though

The Good said:
I played and completed the Trade guild path last night in about 4 hours or so. No combat apart from one fight which I had hired help for, so just kept myself I the corner. As I rushed through I could sense there was so much undiscovered content and lore waiting to be unpicked through various character builds and decision paths. All I can say is Wow! What a game. And it’s really not THAT hard if you use common sense and really think about your build in a realistic way, pick your fights wisely and prepare properly.
The Bad said:
Sounds like the type of game I could put on my wishlist and not buy when it goes on sale.
and The Ugly said:
I find it highly idiotic that combat is then turned into a near luck based RNG mess that boils down to whether or not the god(s) of dice rolls frown a bit or a bit more on you that time.I get what they’re trying to do, its just that they seem to have made a lot of weird, if not bad, choices regarding where to put their time and then utilize that what they built. I would have much preferred ONE possible path to be that you can become a glorious arena gladiator that later stomps around the frontlines of a war or something.

So, if one were to buy this, would make more sense to buy at GoG (bigger ITS cut?) or to Steam (pushing for important Steam sales numbers?) ?

I'm loving this. It's tickling RPG muscles in my brain that I didn't even know were there. Just the constant willingness to fuck my character up if he does something stupid. It makes other RPGs seem like largely harmless theme parks by comparison.

Vault Dweller Is there a resolution limit in the engine? The game won't render beyond 1776x1000. In windowed mode, choosing 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 shows a window rendered at 1776x1000 and in full screen mode, the image is actually upscaled from 1776x1000, resulting in a slightly blurred image typical of interpolation. Dead State also has this limitation.

Oh FUCK YOU VD. I've been playing this game for 30 minutes now, and I haven't met a SINGLE NPC that I can romance and pretend to fuck!!! Games are supposed to be escapist fantasies, where I can do things that I'd never be able to do in real life, like have sexual intercourse! What the fuck do you expect me to do? Watch porn? Read a book? Spend 2 goddamn hours putting up with 'themes' and 'character-based drama' to get to the sexy bits in Lady Chatterley's Lover?

Fuck, I even considered replaying PS:T - I mean the whole Annah/FFG thing isn't really romance either, obviously, because they didn't have the technology to do sex scenes like they can today, but at least there's skimpy outfits. Can't bring myself to replay it though - all that stuff about Annah's feelings for TNO being her curse of torment makes my chest feel funny (I'm sure it's angina, but it makes my eyes all watery and shit). But at least THAT had a happy ending, with FFG promising to spend the rest of her existence searching for the TNO. Obviously they couldn't make the hot sex scene that should follow after she finds him, but at least it's obvious that everyone's happy in the end, and doesn't imply that TNO is some kind of bleak curse upon those who care for him, or any of that gay shit. That's not romance, that like's that shit Shakepeare wrote - poetry. And who the fuck likes moody poetry? Not teenagers, that's for sure.

You know, because I'm a hardcore crpg player, with multiple play-throughs of every Bioware game after Jade Empire, I could almost forgive this bullshit. Except for two things. Firstly, you could have marketed this as its own maths-sim, but no, you had to call it a crpg just to ride on Bioware's coat-tails.

But WORSE, you had the fucking temerity to use the name VD throughout the entire hype period. WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING using a name like Venereal Disease and not including ONE SINGLE romanceable NPC! Don't you think it's misleading? Have you no respect for the genre? FOR YOUR FANS???

I just realised how it was wrong to look for impossible fights (possible only because you are Chosen one) in crpg to get experience.

"Hey, any lord with big army in his castle in this area? I need exp so i have to kill them all, solo".

Yeah, it's a bit interesting to see people complain that they can't grind for experience to overpower everything. I do like combatfag games where you just lawnmower the land in search of XP and loot, but complaining that a world is internally consistent and doesn't let you kill slimes so you can talk smarter is pretty rich.

In windowed mode, you resolution has to be lower than desktop one, otherwise the engine will pick the next thing smaller.
If you switch to fullscreen, you can also switch back to desktop resolution or higher, whatever your system supports, no need to offend yourself with blurry upscaled image =)

I take it the damage listed in the inventory is not supposed to be 0-0 right ?

KkG8sl4.jpg

You selected feint? It shows the currently selected damage, and feint is something you do with your hands.

Yeah, it should be possible to score "hawt akshun" at Quintus disgusting brothel, contract a horrible crotch-withering disease and get a unique game ovah screen as a pitiful eunuch beggar.

Choices and Consequences +MAs much as Kommissar like tastefully done adult content in his games provided its done in realistic way avoiding it all together has the perk of pissing off all the creepy Biowhore fandom; well played Komrade! :salute:

I'll try other methods tonight, like changing the resolution to make the game windowed instead of full screen or something else I can think of. Maybe the problem will solve itself like other computing machine mysteries. Taking pics with my phone works as a last resort, if all else fails.
