Yes i got that much, you simply post shit, you are not alone. In fact, you even have the guts to admit it openly. No problemo for me any more.

No. I just disagree with you about the motivations of some voters. Since you got insulted by my point of view, you want to burden me with a ridiculous laborious task just to please your precious ego.

Poland strong !!!

This is the kind of idiotic nationalist bulshit you will find in every thread that mentions TW3. I'm sorry if I can stop everything just to make a paper for you about this topic, your majesty.
To get it fast out of the way:
1. Yes i may have a "precious ego" or whaterver (at least in this case). And i was open about it from the start. It doesn't make any difference whatsoever when it comes to the issue at hand - issue of your unsubstantiated claims and your shitposting.
2. No, those posts you quoted prove nothing for your case for many reasons. The fact that you think otherwise... I'll give you some hints why: Angry Potato emoticon that you quoted doesn't mean what you think it means - or more precisely, it can mean many things and was created - i believe - to make fun of Potatoes (i find it funny). Goral voted according to his own words "4/5". Does it mean a "4" for TW3 is forbidden too and proof of nationalist upvoting now ? If you believe so i have nothing to add.

You don't want to provide any hard data - and that is ok. You said so repeatedly and provided your reasons. A dubious claim without arguments provided to back it up when asked IS in my definition shitposting. Not for you apparently. Let's be clear here: i don't claim you are wrong per se, i'm only very sceptical, it is still possible that you are right. I just would like to be conviced by facts but since you are not providing those i suggest to end this exchange of opinions now.

Sorry, but both of your definitions of RPGs are wrong.

Well, that doesn’t make any sense, does it? I don’t have two definitions of cRPG for the simple reason that a definition should encompass the nature of what is defined. If I had two definitions, that would mean that cRPGs are simultaneously two different things. What I said is that I had a proto-definition of cRPG, i.e., a layman operative definition that should be improved by further conceptual clarifications. And how do you know that my definition is wrong if I didn’t mentioned here? Maybe you are confusing my definition of cRPG with my arguments.

It is likely you undervalued RPG games before, but will now start to give the credited needed and deserved.

I don’t undervalue RPGs. Even if I did, that has nothing to do with the nature of cRPGs. The definition about the nature of X and its “perceived” cultural significance are two very different things.

You are missing the point.
you have like fucking 15-20 options in that quest for all kind of builds
what the fuck do you want? with sneaky non-combat thief you were not supposed to be in that situation, you shouldn't enter in the fight with those guards, you should took another route through the roof

He wants AoD to be like another superficial cRPG in which you click on everything and you are not affected by your dumb choices because you are too lazy to read. When he is affected by one of the tons of consequences he feels "restricted" and with less choices. But what he really means is that he wanted to walk around without compromise because in most cRPGs skill/stat checks are fluffy. So he is complaining about the game because it is offering him deep consequences that will affect him, i.e., he just want a linear game or a game with cosmetic C&C and illusory character building.

A dubious claim without arguments.

It is only dubious because you haven't being paying attention. Since you are misinformed, you are blaming me for your own ignorance.
Ok. Your claim is not dubious, you owned me with this argument.
Now when someone will ask me to provide an argument for something i said, my answer will be: "My claims are not dubious and you are misinformed and ignorant". Great, how didn't i think of this reply before. Stupid me. Thank you.
I hope we can end now.

I don’t owe you shit. This a forum about games and people having been talking with each other about “The Witcher” series for the past years. If you haven’t notice the correlation between being a pollac and a TW supporter you are either blind, or dishonest, or both. The fact alone that you just assume that everything I said is dubious beforehand suggest that the whole endeavor is pointless.

Methinks Lurker King needs a new tag.

Methinks you are a mediocre, impotent and resented individual that care too much about other people avatars.

Arguing about game mechanics is one thing. Pointing out that the guy missed some rather obvious things is another.
Well, they might be obvious to you, since you made the goddamn thing, so you know every nook and cranny. You have to understand that a lot of people go into a game completely blind and that certain choices won't make sense to the type of the character they are playing. Case and point... you say: "There are 4 or 5 things, actually. You didn't unlock the other options because you didn't explore enough."... Great! And how the fuck was I supposed to know that there are more options? I decided to kill that guard then and there, because in the mind of my character this was the perfect opportunity to strike. Turns out if you go left instead of right, and if you don't do X instead of Y, you don't get Z, M and P options, but you do get forced to put on an armor and attack another guard or impersonate someone, despite those two things being the only two things I didn't want to do. Well color me pink and call me a dumb faggot for wanting to play my character the way I want.

No you dumb faggot. I am complaining about the lack of choices. But nice strawman.

And who says you should know in advance? What is wrong with failing and restart to try a different approach? The game offers you more choices in one city that most games every offer in general, the developers thought in advance about how every stat and skill should work in a reasonable manner, and then comes this simpleminded, lazy, egotistical, and prejudiced individual complaining about how things don’t make any sense because he feels restricted. Maybe VD should implement stat/skill check markers to make things more acessible.

The TB combat (and RTwP) *actual* List of Incline:
....

Bah, RTwP is Decline. There are are other issues with your list as well.

Here's my One True List of Incline:

"My" list is simply what the Codex voted, minus the real time popamole stuff.

Speaking of rt popamole.. I'm having more fun with Bloodlines than any "Age of Incline" game I've played including D:OS, AoD, and VS:T. It's buggy, the publisher rushed the release, it was made during the depths of the Decline, it checks all the wrong boxes (according to my own standards!), yet it's a better RPG in almost every way. Something's wrong with this picture.

Genres and classifications are useful for separating "serious games" from shovelware, but secondary to the question of "is this game any good?" And nobody is doing an adequate job of classifying and rating games. "Game critics" are too busy analyzing what games mean and whether the SJW hivemind agrees. Reviewers are asskissers. Polls and ratings and crowdfunding metrics are dominated by fanboyism. There are a few standouts like RPGCodex and [EDIT: not really ChristCenteredGamer (seriously)] but when overall mediocre games like PoE and D:OS get the overwhelming support that they do... there's a ways to go.

I have a premonition that Mareus is going to be sporting some forum tags in the near future.
Yes, because I call out AoD for what it is. A bad RPG

Ahhh God... you are so retarded I get a headache just reading a line of your text. Restarting intails that you will know how certain things play out in advance since you already played certain parts of the game before, you.... fucking... imbecile! Jesus fucking Christ, I really think some people are so stupid they should be killed out of mercy.

As for the choices in AoD, I am not denying that they exist. I am saying they are badly implemented. Look, from my perspective I have played some extremely deep and complex games in my day, and I have never had these issues with a game - EVER! So, maybe people like me actually might have a point? Have you considered that there might be something amiss in AoD's design philosophy, just a bit?

Again, instead of exploring the palace quietly, your sneaking character decided to kill a centurion for the lulz, which reduced your options. Overall, you can sneak all over the palace as you are never forced to fight but if you do decide to start killing people, it's on you. You can also bullshit your way through or kill guards lefts and right with Critical Strike.

When you kill the Centurion (I assume you didn't have a pistol with a silencer), your time is up. You can't distract the guard or sneak past him. That wouldn't make any sense. There are other options but you didn't find them. You put on the armor to give you a chance to impersonate an officer otherwise you'd have only one option left (fight your way through).

Turns out if you go left instead of right, and if you don't do X instead of Y, you don't get Z, M and P options...
Turns out if you explore, you get more options.

This is an extremely subjective area. There are people who really like our design and people who don't because they prefer different gameplay. You claim that things you dislike are bad (they must be otherwise you'd surely like them), which is kinda silly.

I meant that, no matter what the argument is about, be it gameplay mechanics, graphics, story elements, missed things etc, if someone is biased against a game x1, they usually become biased x10 when engaging in an argument with the game's developer. That was all.

You shill for AoD at every opportunity outside the codex, I noticed it on steam forums first. I googled "underrail Goral" only to find out that toro had already made a thread about it with the same initial thought.

It's like in the ending slide for Daratan praetors after Maadoran, if you let Senna into the slums. Whatever VD is paying you, it couldn't be enough.
lol
Look at the span of my posts and the form. I copy paste a formula in appropriate threads (like "what other RPG should I play), it costs me no time. What toro and Sykar did for example took way more time than all my comments about AoD outside of Codex combined. During that time I've also recommended SitS, Underrail and other less known RPGs (in most posts he copied you can see I mention SitS but since it doesn't sit well with his thesis he ignored it). Now compare it with toro's or Sykar's shilling, they're practically living in Underrail forum (also look at their reaction when someone says he/she doesn't like Underrail :D). If you would look at their Steam profiles I bet you would find that they are true cultists™, I'm very mild compared to these stalkers.

This guy is an idiot. Ignore him.

Enter thread to see whats going on.

Lurker King sperging and 'Whats an RPG?! Discussion 2017 Edition'.

Just a normal day on the Codex.

I also just caught up on the thread, to discover Mareus had managed to kick off both the "what is an RPG" and "AOD teleporting" discussions in the same thread
:lol::salute:

Good effort all round
